http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=26480 TSN's TH2N pointed this out, I think Quinville needs to read the rule book. Good call by the ref.

gdt WCQF Game 7 GDT - Red Wings 3 @ Ducks 2 - (DET wins series, 4-3)

How good was Babs call to split up dats and Z. Ducks were off there game. -
Good write up Great call on Big E, I think he has been the surprise of the year. I probably would have bumped Cleary up to at least a B or even a B+. he battled hard all series, got dirty and was rewarded.

I still think it was a kicking motion. I would be rather upset today if I was a habs fan. However I do not think I would have choked back my tears like the Montreal coach in the post game presser. Man up dude. Edit: Even Kerry Fraser thought it was no goal. FRASER: THE VERDICT ON ZIBANEJAD - NO GOAL!

I will admit I was wrong about E, I thought he peaked 2 seasons ago. At times especially down the stretch he has been our best Defenseman. Its nice to see the great growth internally of E, Smitty, Kroner,Kindl, I think the foundation is well set for more playoff pushes. Now lets wok on the front end.

I voted! Dats should have won hands down. Jimmeh I voted for but Allens save was way better. I still voted for Z but its a toss up against the former wing.

2 Games for Abby, 0 for Weber?...We Deserve Answers
Smite replied to Manny>Ozzie(by a long shot)'s topic in General
the most dangerous about that play just missed. It was the haymaker that missed Z's head before he turn buckled him. Ask Bert what happens when you punch someone in the back of the head. I still laugh when I hear the Nashville organization try to defend what he did. -

My advice for this game is get more goals then the other team............. and break. -
injured Danny DeKeyser suffers broken thumb, out for playoffs

I hear you there, Having only 4 hours sleep I was still pumped and happy this morning, then I checked the twitter machine. I felt sick. I am over it now, I did not see the play so I don't know what happened but there were a couple of times I felt the ducks had intent to injure.... Koivu labeling kronner in the number after the whistle. You stay classy Anaheim! -
Sorry if this was previously posted, I did not see anything. I am not sure what happened here. Pav's went up against Grabner in the 1st round of there annual Play of the Year. I voted yesterday, expecting a lop sided win over Grabner's goal. I am not saying his goal was not nice but he did not dangle through a whole Nashville team. TSN panel said Dat's goal as better. After voting ended I checked the standings (not released till after voting ended. )To my surprise Dats won 51% to 49%. I showed my co-worker to find out they changed the numbers to 52%-48% for Grabner??? Whats going on TSN? and to boot you look at there FB page and it was all pro Dats.

I just check again and it was 52% - 48% for Dats. just weird how it was even close. -

Things to improve upon in the first game. Get stronger down low on the ducks net. There was a lot of missed rebounds. There are no pictures on the score sheet, lets get some dirty ones. I think Bert would help this. Tootoo if he is in tonight he needs to stop chasing the puck around this is a fast puck moving team and it made him look lost. Get strong on the boards in the neutral zone they plug the middle up and create turn overs. My .02 -
GDT WCQF Game 1 GDT : Red Wings 1, at Ducks 3. (Anaheim leads, 1-0)
Smite replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I do not think we could have got a better team to start with. Besides the travel, we have fared well vs the Ducks. 2 teams that Anaheim struggled with this year is us and San Jose. San Jose built there team off the the Detroit model. Duck built there team with size like LA has (who we have not had too much trouble with) Our biggest fault this year has been confidence on the back end, due to not keeping leads and losing key players. Since we picked up Danny D, our D has been confident and letting the O do what they do best. With our new found confidence and us getting under there skin, I say the wings keep the momentum and take 2 in Anaheim. my .02 -
Are we seeing the absence of true leadership. would this of happened with Lids or Stevie over looking?
-
You will have to be more clear with your question. If its all time playoff points. Yzerman (181) and Fedrov (163) are the only 2 players with more points then Howe (158).

I feel like the book is written on our PP. The oposing teams jam up the high zone when we carry the puck over. The even the other teams defence is cheating. the best way to beat that is to dump it in and cycle low. It will force to be more honest then we can move the puck back to our best PP assets, our defencemen. my .02

2012 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - February 27th, 3:00 PM ET

With that attitude have fun cheering for Nashville. Dont let the door hit your ass on the way out. When was the last time the Wings were out in the first round? How many times has Nashville made it past the first round? -
The only random NHL player sighting that I had was at Wayne Gretzky's restaurant in Toronto. I saw someone chatting it up with a couple tables. Then it hit me it was the co-owner of the restaurant Kevin Lowe. I tell the person I was eating with and I told him that apparently Wayne comes to his restaurant often. He said "You mean that Wayne Gretzky?” I did not believe him. But then I looked and he walked right by our table to the private room in the back. Followed later by Grant Fuhr, Craig Simpson, Walter (his dad) and 2 of his sons. Walter came to our table and asked if we are enjoying the food. Soon as word got out people were lined up at the private room entrance trying to get an autograph. I felt like saying let the poor man enjoy a meal with his friends and family.

.....and this is what the rest of the league thinks out side of Vancover. Players poll: WHICH TEAM IS OVERRATED?
-
Sharks May overcome your streak. Otherwise it would be a great game.

Fun Fact: Joe Thorton cries more then Cindy Crosby. Someone should re-post the picture of Mule using a light saber to cut off Joe's legs. -
Living close to Toronto and having friends and family in Ottawa. this is how I see it... Montral hates Boston and Toronto secondary Toronto hates Montreal and Ottawa secondary Ottawa just hates Toronto (I call it the Ontario/Quebec anti-love triangle) Winnipeg used to be and is back to being the harmless long lost step child. Calgary and Edmonton has hatered that spilled over long before they had NHL team. It started with there Canadian football teams. and I agree that everyone hates Vancover that is not a fan. That being said watching the NHL all-star draft I think Ottawa just past the Vancover for being the most classless fans. My 3 year old daughter had more maturity then the guys in the crowd. my .02

This is a sad day for Canadians. Slowly we are losing our Hockey Night in Canada.
