I have not found a clear definition of the rule expect if you shoot a non tipped puck clear over the glass. In Zetterburg's case it was batted out. The puck never hit the ice. I do not think it should have counted. However Zetterburg deserved a 5 major at the end of the game when he arm barred Hamiltion just before Datsyuk's goal. It was dirty and unnecessary.

We also have Jake Paterson (OHL Kitchener Rangers) who will turn pro next year.

Mike Green is using a stick that was discontinued almost a decade ago

Reminds me of the Canadien Cam Neely hockey sticks. It was my favorite, hardly any flex I could let rockets go with that stick. I started using them not long after he retired eventually his stick could not be found. On the other hand I remember shelling out 35 bucks (was a lot for a wooden stick at the time) for a limited edition Steve Yzerman Louisville. They were individually wrapped, send down from the heavens and when I first gripped it I thought this is the stick that is going to smash any minor league goal records known to man. I took extra time tapping it, really my first true love. The second shot in pre-game warm up it shattered..... Along with my heart. -
Red Wings acquire Marek Zidlicky from NJ for Cond. 2016 3rd Round Pick

As for Marchenko I am pretty sure you need to send the player down prior to the trade deadline for him to be eligible for the AHL playoffs. (silly rule) I did not see that he went down. I do not know if there is an exception if the player is on IR. -

Not to take any thing away from Howie, he was in the zone and played great, turnovers were bad. I think the game was a lot closer then the shot count looked. Talbot was as good or better then Jimmy. He owned Jurco and and Tatar all night long. Rags had 8 more blocked shots and I don't know how many times we just missed the net. *facepalm* Gus. Each teak had momentum swings and this would be a fantastic conference finals. Ohh and how about Jimmy's Matrix like blocker save off the back boards. and yes Cole and Zidlicky will do just fine. 2 minutes for a non consensual reach around...

Well sad news... even if Buffalo wins all remaining games (19) It will give them 81 points. We would have the tie breaker at 32 ROW.....Ohhh well there is always next year. ..... Edmonton wins out they will get 84 points.... #tankitfor2ndworst!!

I think some of it has to due with the success mid and late 90s.If you started enjoying the sport at that time you may follow the team if they have continued success.

It's simple, it is a different league. More parody (hard cap) and different rules to allow this. Exactly what the NHL wanted, 5-10 years ago if you got up a couple in the third you put on a hard trap and used the clutch and grab techniques. I like it, it makes it more exciting for the whole game.

Huffington post article by Stewart LINK It does not surprise me.... Take it for what it is worth. But I have had conversations with ex-teammates of Lindros. All about what a POS he is. From picking a fight in a bar with Elvis Stojko (Canadian figure skater/black belt). Needless to say it did not end well with Lindros. To getting one of his concussions from being knocked out by teammate Rick Tocchet, because he was sleeping with his wife. However it was interesting that Stewart listed Yzerman as a top 5 whiner.

Marchenko has been good to great. He was a stud last night, especially on the PK and with the newly found Kindl I am not sure if we need anyone. That being said I would like to see how the last 3 games look before the trade deadline.
