Big E and Kronner play of of each others strengths and weaknesses. Kronwall is good in the corners, breaking out pass and has ok offensive talent. Kronwall is weak at clearing out the front of the net. Ericsson is a beast in front of his own net and is very discipline doing it, but don't let him pass the puck because its going to be a turnover. I think Smitty and Kronner would boost offense on the back end but be a liability down low. Scoring 5 goals a game lately I do not see a need, This is my .02

I was thinking about how lucked out not getting Schultz. It was reported we when pretty hard after him. Abby owned him last night. This is the first time I have seen Yakupov play fer the Oilers. Poor kid just cant play in this league. He was constantly out of position kept running in to his own playmates.

I think the 2 best teams this year will be in the final. Sweden vs Canada. It will be hard to determine who is the better team but Sweden has the longer road by far. Team USA did well and I must say besides the sour grapes at the end of the Russia game they were the best sportsman team of the tournament. but costly mistakes on the back end and naming Eichel as captain was not the smartest move.

Last game I think a lot had to do with the 10 minutes in penalties. Who knows he might not be back at 100% as well. If I remember correctly he got moved up in the third against Ottawa.

I stole this, but thought I would share.

I thought Hickets looked a little nervous, seemed to shoot or dump out of the zone a little early leading to easy blocked shots and not allowing the play to develop. As the game went on he seemed to calm down and that went away. I only really noticed how short he was after the goal celebration he got an assist on and after the game standing on the blueline with his team.

Good point and well put. If your going to have fighting stay in hockey you need to protect the ones that get involved. In the heat of the moment you do not think "hey if I stop now maybe a ref will come in" or "this guy cant see I will stop now". By no means is Smith innocent, he hacked him pretty bad after the high hit then broke his stick over his back. But the fight should have stopped soon as he could not see because the jersey is over his head and the fight strap was preventing the jersey to come off.

The problem I have your argument is your assuming that would be our feelings. I do believe it is a heated topic if fighting belongs in our game. I for one do not think its necessary part of the game but I there are tones of other thread I could make that statement in. I would have not been upset if it was the other way. With all the evidence of what head trauma does to athletes, this needs to be stopped. Boxing and UFC are sports that is only about fighting has rules against someone that a disadvantage.
