Will it go down as one of the better Stanley Cup Finals? Do you think the games have been exciting compared to past Stanley Cups? There has been a boring game or 2 but I think for the most part the series has been exceptional.
-
LOL! OK- now I feel dumb.
-
I was hear after game 5 and had some of my threads deleted by the mods. Saying the same thing now I said then- Pens in 7.

Win or lose- this Wings team of last 2 years is a team for the ages

It is true even though I am Pens fan. This Wings team is one of the deepest I have ever seen from top to bottom. -
How will this Cup series be remembered outside of Detroit

Interesting. Why do you say that? -
Actually think there's a decent chance Hossa could go down as the goat of the game in some way.
-
Regardless who you root for you have to admit that Rocky clip I posted is a classic!

Approximately 30th year- started following Pens in 1979- Peter Lee, Dennis Heron, Ron Stackhouse, etc. LOL- there were some lean times in Pittsburgh.
-
Really- this stuff about the league fixing things for Crosby and Malkin is beyond laughable. As if they would potentially de-legitimize their product with the association of scandal to promote Crosby and Malkin. People are crazy- especially Ranger fans- LOL

Sykora! Write it down!

"You gotta be willing to take the hits- and NOT pointing fingers saying you're not where you want to be because of him or her or ANYBODY! Cowards do that!!!!" Sorry for elimination last year but no reason to bake up conspiracy theories.
-
LOL! I want what you're smoking. Here is something for you my faithful Ranger fan- don't blame others for your shortcomings.

Title was supposed to read outside of Detroit and Pittsburgh -
Series isn't over yet my friend- a game 7 for the ages from Spectacular Sid.
-
I was here Saturday night after the beating and started the thread titled "another plot twist- Pens in 7". Don't call me Nostradomus yet but it's looking less crazy than it did Saturday.

It is ridiculous to assert Pens have "no chance" of winning Cup. You could say they only have a 25-35% chance but NO chance? One bad bounce could be all it takes and we're due for some bounces after our rotten luck in games 1 and 2.
-
Classy post. Wings should have closed the door last night.
-
I didn't know posting logical assertions is "trolling". No offense taken, I'll chalk it up to emotions running high this time of year.
-
Quick question. What is a "troll"? Thanks in advance

It's natural to being feel ultra-confident after a blowout win in game 5.

Greater than 1 in 4??? What were people saying chances of America defeating Britain in the Revolutinary War. I'll take my chances. Off topic- Susan Boyle is in bad shape- let's keep her in our thought regardless of our loyalties.

In all sincerity I would like to express my thanks to everyone here for there tolerance of alternative viewpoints- as painful as it is at my lowest point in ths postseason. I hope you all are still as gracious after Pens win this thing in Detroit. Great series.

It was a poor effort by Pens after first 10 mnute flurry to be sure. I'm not saying the clutching and interference cost us a win tonight- just saying it was there. You guys looked like champs but thankfully this was WIN 3 not WIN #4. Do you really think I would have maxed my home equity line of credit for 50K if I didn't think Pens were going to come through for me???
-
Good games Wings- you deserved this win. You got away with some interference and clutching that could have been called but not as much as many Pens fans are crying about tonight. You can't win in Pittsburgh. Of course you think we can't win in Detroit. Gamy 7 that all changes. Best of luck

I find it ironic the Penguins come in to do battle with a very formidable champion in Joe Louis Arena tonight. The other night a boxing adage came to me which I think holds true in this series. "Once a scared fighter gets brave, he doesn't get scared again" I think the Penguins found their soul and guts when Staal turned the series around with his shorthanded goal. Not to say it will be easy as I expect the Wings to try to deliver a knockout punch at home in the first 10 minutes but I stay with my prediction I've had since game 2. Pens in 6.
