This deadline was doomed with the shorten season. I said from the start that trades would be few and far between this year to many team still in the hunt. Now with that said we knew for quite some time that we needed help on both Defense and offense we should have tried to fix that before the start of the year. If we don't fix it this off season I say dump and re- build

I agree with you 100% but think Babs thinks it just doesn't matter who is on Dats line he will make the better then the other teams line. Now some of that is true he does make his line mates better but give the guy a chance. Tatar would be a great choice and right now if he doesn't move up Nyquest I would choose Andersson Helm would be good when he comes back Eaves is not bad choice either

I don't think there will be much at the deadline everyone or at least most will be close enough so that they won't sell out at deadline. If your planning big moves your going to be very unhappy

Its not Babs fault he is stuck with the hand that has been dealt him. I have stated this before that it my opinion this is the worst defense that we have had since the 70s and there is no hope in site there is no one coming up that will help out. White isn't any worse then the rest of our Defenseman. None of them are worth keeping maybe some of the young guys will get better but I would try to revamp our top four starters for sure. I have watch the Red Wings sense the early 70s and as bad as some of those teams were we have never had this bad of a defensive group

We by far the worst Defense the wings have ever had and your blaming Howard it wouldn't matter who was in net they wouldn't stand a chance. We have no one that I would call a top four Defenseman

I don't get Fippula there are times when he make a move on the ice that almost looks like Dats then he pulls a bone head move and gives the puck away. Your right this is an important year of his time here with Detroit its a make or break deal so far he look average we will see

I wouldn't say bringing back Burt was bad he was very good last year. The biggest mistake with out a doubt was bringing in Krupp with out any other close to that bone head move
