I don't think anyone was to surprised over this choice of captains. It was a forgone conclusion that he would get it for years now -

Its a tough year the market is very weak and the prices are steep. You can't expect kenny to over pay for anyone no matter how bad we may need players. The worst part about it is the owners approve these over paid contracts then they turn around and complain that there not making enough money -
In my option if we have another long lock out it could very well mean the end of the NHL as we know it. Yes the devoted fans will always come back but to get the on the edge fans this could be the death sentence

It may be a tall order but even if we resign Q we still are one defense man short so we have to add one we have to many forwards so we have to dump a few of them

We can't we have to many Forwards and not enough Defense men

We need to add at least one D-man if not two the question is who that should be Then we could add a guy like Semin I feel Babs can handle any problems that might come with him but he would add much needed scoring the real question who are the D-man that would help us out enough to sign for a couple of years

I agree we do need a trade we need at least one D-man and 2 wouldn't hurt and it would also help to get a scoring forward

Yup I think its Suter or bust no Playoffs and it looks like the Wings are seeing the importants of a number one Dman also I say keep on pushing -
