The Canadiens jerseys really haven't changed much, haven't they always had the C-H logo? If it wasn't for the Detroit Cougars the Wings wouldn't have much to go on for a throwback jersey either.

If that picture was taken from a seat, I'd be pissed for having spent money on a ticket. It looks like a bunch of ants skating around there. I'm all for having 100K Red Wings fans packed into a stadium, but if you can't even see the game whats the point? I'd rather watch it at a bar where I can see what's going on.

He's got balls! Well, if you live in Florida and only get to see the Wings live once a year, it's a big game for you. Throw that octopi!!!

For me, Comerica gets the edge. If this were to happen, its gotta be in a downtown Detroit location. It just wouldn't feel right to be played anywhere else. I know the Big House has more seating and what not, but thats really the only thing the location has above Comerica, in my opinion. As for the Wings playing in it twice, I don't really mind it that much. I'll fully admit that I was complaining about the Pens getting another WC mostly because it was the Pens Realistically, the WC game needs to have 2 cold weather market teams in it, and those teams need to have a large enough fan base to get the ratings the NHL needs for the game. That narrows the pool of possible teams considerably. I think a Red Wings - NYR Winter Classic would be awesome.

Awesome! They should post the fish pic on detroitredwings.com. They kept talking on FSD last night about how some of the Wings got sunburned, guess they all went on the boat and forgot the sunblock.

When the Lightning or Panthers play a northern team at home, there's always a ton of opposing jerseys in the stadium because of snow birds. In fact, didn't one of the Florida teams actually advertise to the opposing team's fans in order to sell more tickets? Same type of thing with the Coyotes. People don't grow up in Arizona, most are transplants.

I agree with drumnj. The new layout looks great, but after reading through some threads today with the new background it puts a bit of strain on the eyes.

Yzerman is not going to be doing any favors for the Wings. Nor would the Red Wings organization expect Yzerman to do them any favors. Even if the league allowed something like this through a loophole or what-not, its highly unethical. Stevie has more pride than that.

Your best bet is probably Hockeytown Authentics in Troy. I think they only sell current players at the Joe.

I love taking the Riverwalk during playoff games. Its full of crazy wings fans, especially after a victory.

I think they reversed the direction of the people mover recently. It used to be you could easily get on the people mover at the Ren Cen, but then it was a 20 minute ride around to get to the Joe. Now that its reversed, its overcrowded by the time it gets to you. I still think taking a shuttle from one of the local drinking holes is the way to.

I don't know if this has been brought up before, I haven't read through all 4 pages of this thread... The current D problem is most likely not 100% McCrimmon's fault. Our D has no vigor, and it looks like they're not even trying a good portion of the time. Maybe its complacency, lack of motivation? This is what a coach needs to do, figure out what the problem is and fix it. McCrimmon has failed to do that, get rid of him, and perhaps trade one of our D-men to show the team that nothing is sacred, and if you aren't performing you aren't going to have a place of the team.

I must have missed the whole yambag thing. Perhaps an explanation is in order??
