I just meant that with the caliber of the Wings offense, they should be blowing these teams out easy. However, a lot of them were close games. I expect close games against teams like Vancouver, not the Blue Jackets. Just my observation and 2 cents. If it is a motivation factor when the Wings play easier teams, then that's crap. It should 2 easy points in a close western conference. Oh well, hopefully Nashville will be a better game tonight.

Not to get off topic, but how is the pre/post game crowd at Nemo's. I'm always at the Old Shillelagh before and after, but I'm always looking for a change of scenery. To keep it on topic, Wings wing 3-1. I think Babcock probably chewed out the D and Howie after Ottowa, hopefully it'll light a fire under their asses

Just get tanked before the game. Drinking beer at the Joe just means a 30 minute wait in the bathroom line I hope the Wings keep them to a couple goals at the most tonight. The D needs to tighten up and Howard needs to get his groove back.

Yup, I love watching those 90's games, those are the ones that really got me into the Wings and hockey. Arguably "The Brawl" was a defining moment for the 1997 team that brought them together right before the playoffs. I remember watching that game (man, I was 15 lol) with my buddies after playing a bunch of street hockey that day, which was our high school pre-game tradition. Good memories. On a side note, I think its crazy watching these older games, and comparing the graphics they use for scores/time and what not, to whats on TV now. It looks soooo dated, and it wasn't that long ago. Makes me feel old!!

Got my curly fries today, not that its a huge deal being in the Detroit area. It is the first time I've actually redeemed the curly fry offer though, I don't usually go for fast food. They were delicious The lady at the counter was having a good time with it too. Pretty much everyone in line had their box scores in hand, and she was talking Red Wings with the customers while people were waiting for their food.

Good. Don't rush it. In the end, it doesn't matter much where the Wings end up in the rankings as long as they get a playoff spot. Let Dats and Homer sit as long as they feel they need to. Re-injuring something right now would be horrible.

The score, and the Wings defense, are both reminiscent of the all star game. I hope they get something corrected between now and the playoffs.

I'm happy this is called a no-goal, but I feel bad about feeling happy about it. If that had happened to the Wings, I'd be pissed.

You aren't looking hard enough. The entire Greektown strip is almost 100% restaurants. Cheli's Chili, Hockeytown Cafe, all the casino restaurants, you may have heard of this chef before: http://www.roastdetroit.com/ I'm not trying to come down on you, but to hear that you couldn't find a restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday is a bit ridiculous. I guarantee that all of the above and more were open.

If Detroit could convince the NFL that they could host the Super Bowl, they sure as hell shouldn't have a difficult time convincing Buttman to let us host the Winter Classic. Detroit is home to one of the leagues most popular franchises.

I really like their current logo, I think its much nicer than this new one. This one is too simple, and like some other posters have said, it has too much of a Maple Leaf vibe.
