Yeah, that's great and all, but the NHL , whether you like it or not, is cutting down that aspect of the game. The refs barely let the players fight anymore, and most of the fights that they do let occur pale in comparison to fights in the past. If McCarty pulled the s*** he did back in the day in today's NHL, he'd be suspended. The NHL is actively taking enforcers out of the game, yet this buffoon of an author is criticizing the Wings for getting the job done, even without an enforcer presence. Did Don Cherry write this article? Blanket statements and xenophobia in one paragraph! Yeah, let's get rid of the GM of what the entire league says is the model franchise in the NHL...

Dumb, dumb, and more dumb. None of the guardians are very creative. They could have done much more with it, but instead they all look like the stuff the comic book nerds were doing in high school art class. On top of that, they forgot that the Red Wings are an original 6 team. They basically photoshopped the 6 badge onto the video: It doesn't even look like part of the model, obviously added after they realize they screwed up.

The players on the ice aren't even the stars, its a popularity contest. The game sucks because there is no point to it, at least MLB made their all star game more exciting by giving the winning league home field advantage during the world series. This game is just a big fundraiser. They could have just had a giant bake sale with the goods served up by the players. Then at least you could buy a pie, and proceed to throw it in Cindy Crosby's face. Now that's entertainment!!!

Last year it was giving up 3rd period leads, this year's theme seems to be getting into 1st period deficits. Hopefully the team plays well the entire 60 minutes, and especially the first 20. I'd rather not see another game where the Wings get 3 or 4 goals against. Hopefully the D-men get their act together for tonight's game so that they don't leave Howard out to dry. 3-2 Wings

I think its very relevant to discuss this potential Crosby snubbing the ASG thing, because our guys got dinged for doing just that. As for that being rumors and hearsay, so is about 99% of what we post here. This is coming from a semi credible news source as well, its not like someone just picked up the info on a random blog.

I can understand Lemieux love, the guy is a legend, hall of fame player, and owner of the team. He's the Pen's Yzerman (or as the Pens say, Yzerman is the Wing's Lemieux). However, I don't understand all the friggin' Crosby love. What if the guy just taps out and doesn't do much for the rest of his career? That seat count is going to be really silly. As for this game, I don't even know what to say about the defense at this point. This has been the pattern this season, giving up early goals, giving up 3-4 goals a game. I agree, there is some kind of fundamental flaw - be it the defensive coach, the players not gelling, I don't know. Hopefully it gets figured out because giving up all these goals doesn't fly in the playoff.s

At least the Leaf's logo is a throwback, and not something completely off the wall. I personally wouldn't mind at all if the Wings used their Winter Classic jerseys as an official third jersey. I think the replica winter classics are just as nice as the authentics. The winter classic replicas are made out of air-knit, and made in canada. Much nicer quality than the regular reebok premiers.

That seller is legit, I'm not sure why this jersey doesn't have the CCM logo. It should be at the neck or hem. Not sure on this one. This seller is the high price, legit jersey seller on ebay, I've never seen him try to sell fake stuff. I'd never pay 149.99 for a replica jersey though. CCM and Reebok are the same company. I think they release "vintage" jerseys with the CCM logo. I don't believe the vintage line of wings jerseys have the winter classic patch on the front, but its easy enough to buy one and have it sewn on.

That's how hockey jerseys are supposed to fit I can almost guarantee that those are fake. When the price is that low, and they use stock photos, its usually the case.
