Well, we started in 215, but after the first period we noticed some empties down in section 110, so we "upgraded" our seats (awesome view of Z's OT game winner, btw) They weren't wearing suits, but were buying beers in spades :beerbuddy:

I've enjoyed watching both Abby and Cleary so far this season. Both have a lot of fire in their play, and put in 110% effort every shift. I'm pretty sure that they've been called Dumb and Dumber for a while now. Doubt they're being derogatory.

Judging by the number of Ed Hardy t-shirts where I was sitting, I guess they're playing up to their audience? I don't even think they played the The Hockey Song after the win.

Very true. They're $8 or so, but at least they're 20oz. Plus, beer is a game time necessity :beerbuddy:

Games are expensive to go to, when you add up ticket price, beverages, etc. I really only go when they have the coke zero family packs available, its a pretty good deal when you split it with a friend. I splurge more on tickets during the post season. Economy is rough, gotta do what ya gotta do... Must you always troll?

I'll be there, first trip to the Joe this season. Hopefully many more to come! Prediction: Wings win 3-2. I guess we'll find out tonight if letting 6 goals in on Saturday will strengthen his resolve to play well for the next, or make him nervous and unsure of himself. I'm hoping for the former. I think he's unveiling the new mask today too, so hopefully its provides some positive vibes.

Guinness is pretty much what a dry Irish stout should be. Most definitely not one of the worst beers in the world. I've had a lot of Jolly Pumpkin's offerings, which use wild belgian yeast in all their ales; makes them all pretty sour. Their Bam Biere is pretty good, as is their stout (forgot the name)

What years did Probert serve as alternate captain? A friend of mine just acquired an older authentic jersey that he wants to customize, but not sure whether or not to put the 'A' on it.

Is that really the going price for an Yzerman jersey? I bought that exact same jersey in Detroit40oz's link from ebay for $100 blank, and had it customized with Yzerman for another $50. Granted this was several years ago, I wonder if the going price has gone up since then?

Yes, the Lions are horrible, but I still enjoy watching the game on Sunday. Not everyone has the spare cash to buy expensive NFL tickets, especially in the Detroit area, so we all get punished as a result. I'm just a casual football fan, I prefer to spend my sports ticket dollars on Red Wings games. So, because I choose to spend my money on something other than football, the NFL gets to slap me on the wrist for not giving the money to them instead? Ok, done ranting...

I just turn mine inside out, put in the washer on cold/gentle with a little bit of detergent, and hang dry. Works great every time. Don't put it in the dryer, it will shrink the logo and ruin the jersey. Unless a dry cleaner is experienced in cleaning jerseys, there's a chance they'll ruin it. I've had friends drop jerseys off to a dry cleaner, only to get a mess in return. Its easy enough to wash yourself.

Yes, that year is the best looking all star jersey in my opinion. Would love to own one.

I brew my own, so those are my favorite beers I have a smokey porter, a nice belgian-style IPA, and apriocot wheat right now. I'll probably brew a stout next weekend. Molson is my hockey watching beer. Other than that I'm a fan of anything microbrewed.

Seriously, why all the freakin' hate around here? Does Ozzy's play really piss people off that much, or do you all just need another cup of coffee? Simmer down everyone... The only troll I see here is you, buddy. Let's get back on topic here... anyone who's been a fan of this team for any length of time knows how it is with Ozzy. He blows games, he admits it and we see it on the ice. He also comes up huge, usually when the Wings need it most. Ozzy will be fine as a backup, and the Wings will be fine. The season is young, and I think the team in general hasn't quite gelled yet. The blame for last night's failure should be equally placed on both Ozzy and the defense.

:rotflmao: Yeah, I'm probably being a bit biased, but I think the wings winter classic jersey is the best looking throwback jersey in the league right now. Its simple, the logo is classic, and more importantly it uses THE TEAM COLORS! I don't understand why the pens and other teams go through these phases using an alternate color palette. Personally, I wouldn't mind it one bit if the wings adopted the WC jersey as an official 3rd jersey. I'd love to see it back on the ice.
