The best protest would be to throw as many octopi out on the ice as possible. Show them we aren't scared. Honestly, I'm now convinced that Buttman has it out not just for the Wings, but for Midwest teams, and Canadian teams, in general. He hates, hates the fact that the Red Wings are so successful. He would much rather see the sun belt teams successful and have a national following, because he thinks that's where the money is. Instead of catering to the established hockey fanbase, he'd rather alienate us while trying to convince people who would rather watch basketball or go to the beach to come to a hockey game instead. I guess technically after the national anthem and after the game ends would be fine, since these are outside of official game time. I'd say scoring a goal during a playoff game counts as a special occasion, but they'll probably put a special "cephalopod" clause in the rulebook. Why does Bettman hate this team so much?

I'm sure its very nice there. I have friends in Scottsdale, which is pretty close, and they compare the area they live in to Birmingham or Bloomfield Hills. Wear your red jersey, I want to see tons of red in the middle of their white out.

There are a bunch of tickets to tonight's game still on stubhub hovering around the $10 price point. Just wanted to make people aware in case they just assumed the tickets would be expensive for the playoffs. Well, the game is most likely going to sell out before Saturday, so I wouldn't try getting tickets at the box office. I'd just find some tix on stubhub, then you're good to go.

Yeah, I was disappointed with the lack of fire. It's been replaced by red smoke. It seems like they only do the fire every other year? They had it in 08, don't think they did in 09, but it was back last year.

I thought the Bertuzzi chants were awesome. It was also really cool to hear the "Johan Franzen" chants after he scored. Great crowd last night.
