Seriously now...Is it really Crosby's fault he is getting our negative attention? Not really. The NHL and media has brought him up this way. It's a lot different now than years ago, we are in a selfless world with little morals and respect. So sure, I guess Sid is the future. What do you get when you raise a spoiled brat and tell him he is the next Gretzky and the face of the NHL? I'm sure he didn't start out this way and really didn't ask for it. Hell, if I were Malkin I'd be pissed the world thinks Crosby's the best on the team. Look back on another person, Eric Lindros...he was also supposed to be the next big thing. I am a Wing nut also but lets give the kid some slack. He's what, 20 (can't even grow a real beard) and has been given the world on a platter. How would we have responded? All I know is the Hank showed how good Crosby really is. COMPLETE SHUTDOWN!!!!! NOT A FACTOR!!!! Atta boy Hank, you showed who the true superstar and face of the NHL should be. Played incredibly on both sides of the ice, logged in mega minutes, fought off cheap shots, and remained humble through it all. To focus on Crosby and then turn it around offensively without much support says tons. Definitely our next Captain. NEXT YEAR

Babs said it best. They just didn't have enough juice in the finals and playing with a bandaged team is pretty tough. It was pretty evident in the Chicago series but pulled it out with experience. Anaheim just plain played a very physical series that wore the boys down and couldn't quite get it back with Chicago's fast track. Hate to say it, but it will be tough to get back into the cup again. I figured this was our best opportunity. Chicago is going to be a very tough road block...they were a year or two sooner than I expected. Heal up and see ya' next year, hopefully with our fine Griffin boys who helped out tremendously.
