I can honestly say I didn't consider untill now, that the media did get to Crosby kind of quickly. Maybe they should of waited untill after the handshakes to get their interviews.

You have to admit though, with all the other players on that team accounted for there could be some sick lines. I mean, you also have the likes of Ilya Kovulchuck, Alexei Kovalev, Alexander Semin, Sergei Federov - just to name a few.

Well if Crosby wasnt talked of often, and marketed early would they know him still? I mean, what if Patrick Kane or another young player was treated the EXACT same way Crosby was when we came into the league? You never really know.. Personally, I would like to see more then one player be the face as well. It was nice to see it sort of go from Crosby to Crosby/Ovechkin.

Of course. In my oppinion he is a Top-10 player in the League.

Well you told me to put on my marketing hat. Bettman wants the NHL to be exciting, excitment draws fans. That "you never know what hes going to do next" playing style is marketable. Younger fans see him falling on his back and knees, and still putting the puck in the back of the net? Dont you think that impresses them? Okay, so the English, and not so pretty face.. Why not Patrick Kane? Do I think hes better then Crosby? No, but I think hes just as marketable. Young star, original six team. Better years are head of him, and hes already made a WCF appearence.

Exactly. Like, I, and others have said countless times. Crosby would have more respect around here, and around the league, if he wasn't forced down our throats - long before he accomplished anything at all.

Anyone in favor of Crosby is going to agree with his actions. You're not going to convince them otherwise. Oppinions are oppinions, and although I don't like what Crosby "did," you know damn well he really doesn't care at this point.

I beg to differ. Until the Pens get their 11th Stanley Cup, and playoff appearance streak in the double digits, they cant make a case to be on the same level as the Wings.

Go look through your own teams message boards from about a year ago. You'll find much worse stuff then you will ever see here.

Let's just not blame anyone at all. Thats not what a team, an orginization, and a fan base like the Wings are about.

If somebody would have stepped up on offense, Brad Stuarts poor play wouldn't have mattered. Hate to see people want him chased out of town after one game.

Back to the original post.. the thing that really bugged me about Crosby and the handshake line was: And I don't know if anyone has a video they could upload to show it, but did anyone else see when Crosby and Babcock met in line? The camera was pretty close because you could cleary hear Babs say "Congratulations, that was great leadership by you." and was looking Crosby right in the face. I kid you not, Sid didn't even look at him, and just kept skating. My father and I both kind of looked at eachother, already disappointed in the loss, and were just kind of disgusted. I'm truley not looking for another reason to dislike Crosby, but he may claim he didnt purposly snub Nick, but I would like to hear his explanation for that one. Again, if anyone has the video that would be great.
