I would say without a doubt I would follow the wings the exact same amount as I did in the 70's Judging by most of the replies in this thread you don't know me,let me introduce myself.Hi,I'm Dan Bylsma and some day am going to make you a Pens fan....exclusively :-)

look at aussie,he went against them also.The wings don't know what they want to be this year ! My picks are almost identical to his (Aussies) ,people are going to think I copied his but I didn't.I'm not aware of anyone's picks when I make mine.I don't want that interfering with my thinking. I'm not routing for the wings and am not routing against them ! I must admit I continued to be bowled over by all of you guys passion for the wings and hockey in general,it has opened up a port to hockey I didn't know I had. It's contagious. oh,ok I didn't get that out of his reply.I think you would still need some many guesses to qualify for that separate percentage list. Another good contest by you Drake,your a wizard at this !

No,what I was talking about was that percentages would be based on all games spanning the weekly contests.IMO a person that participated in say 80-85% of the total votes/guesses would be eligible to win the overall title. It would simply be a way for people who missed some contests here or there to be eligible once again when there votes reached that threshold and they would be on the standing as someone that maybe had more right guesses but had the same overall percentages

I think it would be nice to keep count of total guesses as well instead of just correct ones,for those of us who missed contests or parts there of.Percentages could also be used with a minimal amount games/votes needed to stay in contention for the prize at the end of the season. BTW I'm just guessing the prize is a weeks stay in Pittsburgh while the Pens are battling for the Cup correct ? :-)

1 for 3 ? Your 0-3 when are you guys going to learn not to vote against Crosby and the Pens. Edit:well maybe one can vote against the pens when they had played the night before and the Devils had the day off !

Actually to be truthful I thought Detroit would win,a vote cast out of respect for them. Probably will be my pick next week for the same reason. It's interesting how most people here get religion and pick the Pens all the time in these contests and then blast them the rest of the week for being a so-so team.

If I hadn't tried to reach out to the forum in the spirit of goodwill and pick Detroit over Colorado when I knew they had little of winning I would have been in the top 6 in the contest :-(

I'm glad to see him staking again and I wish him well. I never understood this idea of not letting a player how you genuinely feel about him.your in a sports arena not a church.

I had originally thought this was going to be a really bad game for the wings but after careful thought I moderated my prediction Kings 7 Wings 1

I think it's a rivialy in spirit also,it will always be looming out there this season. If our penquins are fortunate enough to make it the finals again this year. I think it would be a nice gesture to give all the wings players free tickets to the finals so they can watch in person and end the rivalry on a high note.

yeah and the Pirates will have a winning season next year as well......

after careful analysis I would give the wings about a 20-30% chance of making the playoffs this year.

I must say I admire all you for your devotion to the wings,that's what keeps me coming back and to learn more about the in's and out's of the game. But jeeze,you guys need to get a life and enjoy other things in life. I sincerely hope it isn't as it appears and you all have other interests that keep you content.

On Sept 10th 2010 most of Detroit Red wings team will get arrested along with a renegade Hossa for trying to scale White House fence while the Penguins are visiting there,celebrating their 2nd straight title which was over the Black hawks.One Detroit player heard mumbling that the cup is their birth right and can not be outside of their city for 2 years in a row.

yeah it didn't happen on our local sports channel either,FSPI it was blacked out when versus had the playoff games. And we even have bettman on our payroll !
