just trying to point out the other side of the coin.I hear about how mighty the wings are here and they are mighty at times and times they don't meet expectations. Thanks for pointing out the potential of the pens,chances are they won't match the success of your red wings over the years.

ok,sonny I'll plead guilty to not being the most knowledgeable hockey fan, I have many ,many other interests that are equal to hockey or more important. I'm just saying if I was a wings fan I would feel not too good about making the most things in the post season over the years and getting eliminated sometimes early in the playoffs after racking up all those impressive point totals during the regular season. 4 cups is great but it should have been more.

Son ? I'am 13 years older then you..... Ok 4 cups,great for you ! but 11 of those other years of being near the top of the points each year.

I know this is a little off topic but I always pay attention to Sports Illustrated power rankings through the course of the season,why in the world would they rank the red wings at only no. 7 (pens ranked 2nd) after the regular season ? the wings have got to stop knocking themselves out in the regular season. I've looked at their record for the last 15 years and how they've piled the points up and then get eliminated in the 1st or 2nd rounds sometimes. Which is more important,having something left in the legs deep into the playoffs or playing at home ?

I'll predict the wings to finish with anywhere from 35-45 points and start a sting of 8-10 years out of the playoffs.

oh God,this is priceless, lossa to the hawks. I'm wondering if we're going to continue to hear about how great lossa was for the red wings and that he wasn't a traitor !

I think we can safely say the pens will make the playoffs next year. They might flounder a bit during the regular season but when the playoff rolls around and the opponent is someone like the caps or flyers then the desire and intensely will be there,come on how could it not be.They will defend again in the finals and I expect they will be more capable of winning game 1 or 2 on the road.It could very well come down to game 7 again and when the smoke clearly the ducks will lose in their own building ;-)

well this is one example of why I keep reading this forum,one jaw dropping post after another,this one in the familiar mold of the wings couldn't have lost it they had to have it stolen from them. I think you red wings fans could do your selves some good by reading penguins forums and seeing the other side of the story. It might even help that healing process along.....Sidney Crosby is a decent,respectable person,there's no ratioanl excuse to hate him.

ok,i was just checking to see if anyone here still has a sense of humor ! One person passed the test ! I heard this morning that in either in '91-'92 when the cup was at Lemieux's house it stayed there over night and the next morning it came up missing.They said they found it in the bottom of his pool,do you think that's true ? Has anyone heard that ?

that's great to see the cup with the point in the background in the City of Champions I take it that was real deal with that pic,no photoshoping ? If you could please provide a link to more pics of it in Pittsburgh. Man that cup gets around !
