I would say right now Nyquist is a great choice, I thought Tatar would have had a better start but he has the poise to carry the C too...and who knows how Mantha will play out as well, he could play his way into a captaincy role!

Charges of this nature are so barbaric it's saddening to see. Considering with athletes it's always some jacked dude at least twice the size as his lady I think it's good for the leagues to distance themselves right away until the smoke clears & the facts are on the table.

I'm all about giving him a chance! So far most of this entire thread is about people being confused as to why babs isn't giving Weiss a chance. As to writing him off, not to say he wrote him self off completely last season but he certainly knocked himself back a little with 4 points in 26 games.

This is generous as Tootoo actually played well and earned a spot unlike Weissy. Every now and then there are players who simply don't fit with a coach & his playing style, this could be one of those times...but I truly hope Weiss gets a shot, then makes the damn thing 13dangledangle~

Darren Helm had not showed lack lustre performances like Weiss did, Helm has never had to earn back Babs respect...Heck Weiss hasn't even gotten Babs respect yet to lose it 13dangledangle~

Don't get me wrong I agree with you about who made it but to be honest aside from Cleary there are no surprises this year. The only thing we wanted to see was a push from the kids to make the team, and I thought they did a great job. Oulette played well, not better then Jensen in my opinion but both of them pushed for a spot... ...The truth is they never had a chance. Holland until he absolutely has no choice will not just waive these guys he wants to move them. I would rather have Oulette there then lashoff, kindl or Quincy (can't stand Quincy) but at the moment it's not an option. Holland picks the team (more or less) and Babs does what he can with who's there. My comment about Damien Brunner still stands, I'd take him in a heart beat! (Kindl cough, cleary cough, Quincy cough). Trade them all for Brunner ~13dangledangle~
