I don't think we need a trade to be honest. Our "core" of players is pretty great, especially at forward: -Zetterberg -Datsyuk -Alfie -Franzen -Nyquist -Tatar -Bertuzzi -Helm -Andersson -Abby I'm sure 25 other coaches in the league would love to play with this roster-note who I didn't mention...On D I think we are pretty solid too & trading Howard is not the way to go, he has slipped this far but I wager he bounces back and will be undoubtedly ready for the spring. In all I feel health (obviously) is our main issue, we have the ability to ice perhaps the most offensively deep lineup when 100% healthy-will that ever happen? Here is hoping because I LOVE this team LGW! -Edit: on second thought I would like to trade Wiess & Cleary for Brunner. Thank you

I said this out load to the question too...The one thing from that I took away as a positive was the fact he has the confidence in himself to attempt it at all. He has the skill and when he has the puck he wants it. Tatar is a stud

The fact with Weiss is, this far into the season he's made roughly 2 million dollars and the dude has 4 points...Not to sound like a broken record but with our talented rookies I would love to try and swing a trade, perhaps New Jersey & perhaps BRUNNER...he's still a Red Wing, you can tell. I missed the game last night but was following the game tracker on my phone while at work and was not impressed at all when I saw Gino then Crosby scoring (booooo)...I cannot wait to see Jurco, it will be my first look at him as I don't see Griffins games. Like others have said hopefully he gets going early with a bounce or two so Babs gets him on the ice!

I just think that the logic that babs has about Abby being in the top six is true...but more so for Bert, he schools in the toughness, set up beauty plays & finish with style, especially for his price tag
