I dont know how to feel about this one. Doan would be awesome and given thats our move we front load the s*** out of the deal not handcuffing Kenny from other moves in the remaining three years. Again I am still on the fence about ridiculous six million is for a player like Doan, and everyone says he's a 50 points guy? I swear even at 35 here he would be well over 60, last year a slow year for him.

I think Bouwmeester would be a great addition to the top four given the price is right. This year his cap hit wouldn't matter and there is only next year then we renegotiate his payment for his third year. Dudes only 28 right now (29 in a couple mnths) and could be a solid guy for us for the next seven years or so. Again Calgary is really pushed against the cap this year and a trade with JBo going the other way frees up a lot of cash for them, it would give them almost ten to work with opposed it almost four.

I really hope we don't that's for sure, and though off topic I would miss Mules 30 goals for his 3.9 cap hit too.

I'll vote no just on how he left. He does deserve it, as everyone here who watched what he accomplished knows already, but I still would vote no because how he left was too big of a faux pas and the rafters are too exclusive for that. I say let's just paint a fedorov mural in the "new arena" & we can honor him that way.

In the end I don't really care who it is as long as if feels like were trying to do something, but I do feel Semin would be dyno with Dats...

If you look at the top six of some other teams like Philly, Rangers & the Kings they are friggin' loaded. If you look at their D corps I think those three teams are also more well rounded then we currently boast and two out of three of those teams goalies are Quick and Lundqvist. Holland needs to add at least one scorer to our top six & he needs to add one great D man. What worries me is the attraction of Detroit slipped a couple years ago (at least to the North American player) with no fault of Holland-so how does he counter that, along with now a club that lost the best ever Dman and an has an aging core of "elite" talent. Not easy things to overcome but Im convinced he just needs to rock one solid move to put us back on the radar. At this rate Hollands going to be watched like never before so I hope he rocks it out soooon.

Too bad for sure, I agree with those that say he didn't get his fair shot here. He undoubtedly would have done a better job then some on our roster, I just think he was a "big show" kind of guy and when he was playing with the wings I thought he looked better then our mainstays ie. Cleary, Holmer and even Abby imo. I also think he would have done well paired with Flip and Z. None the less this doesn't matter as he's moved back to Sweden. Good luck Fabio.

That is what I like the most about Doan and Semin alike. The fact we don't have to lose Flip is huge, he's top 3 in my mind. Doan I am sure will sign with NY at a discount to win but I hope Kenny is really kicking the tires of this Semin thing, if not then someone on the inside isn't a fan...
