I really cannot believe Semin hasn't signed anywhere yet...but all the sign's I see point to the Pen's, I don't want that to happen but it really doesn't seem like Holland is interested.
-
A swiss army knife? So if he could play forward he'd be Derek Meech.
-
This is complete Bulls***. NO WAY Howard cost us the series or was "the biggest difference maker" in loosing, that is ridiculous. Howard has shown he can compete with the top goalies in the league, but this little problem we had was obviously a "TEAM" thing. The team didn't work together at all thus looked like a team that was leaving early and didn't even seem to care. Howards fault? Ok lol...

I would love to see him keep playing, as long as it's not for the Wings. I think it'd be sweet seeing his smiling face with Hawks...or any other team for that matter. Good luck Tomas.

Dominik Hasek's agent: "He will play, and he will excel"

I hope he signs somewhere and kicks ass! I am not he biggest Dom fan but the fact everyone seems to be against the idea I really, really hope he kick some major ass. Best of luck Dom -
This is what I was thinking. We (he) knew from the get go we were going to have a rougher time as teams also knew how much doe we (he) have (has). My guess is now the kinda plan were on is were we (he) sits back for a couple weeks (which he also said he expects it to pick up in a couple weeks a few days ago) and have agents think he's BSing...but he's not, but he is, but...Holland you are one crazy sob. Get it done Kenny!

Garnet Exelby Signs With Boston
13dangledangle replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
Yeah that sucks considering we are currently pretty weak on D, I think he could have seen some time with the Wings for sure this year. He would have stuck around awhile too, I liked him too bad but good for him and I hope he joins the big leagues again with Boston! -
Six teams on Nash's trade "list", none Canadian

Kudos on both accounts. -

I think that's jibberish for the Canadian teams are either f*cked or they suck, and in a couple cases both. I've mentioned it before but who would you honestly expect him to want to go in Canada? Only team that I could see wanting to be a part of (at the moment of course) would be Edmonton, but does he want to relocate to Edmonton? Apparently not... -
Sailing the failboat lol! I'm sorry I really don't believe Mr. Holland is the captain of that ship but damn it made me chuckle.

Edit: The fact TSN threw in ";NONE ARE CANADIAN" is a joke grasping for straws after the other Nash deal in Toronto fell apart. What Canadian NHL hockey team would Rick Nash want to play for TSN? Seriously... -
Six teams on Nash's trade "list", none Canadian

This is what has been said for sure, Howson is asking for the sky and Murray just needs a fair return. However as remaining free agents drop and other trades happen this price surely goes up. -
I agree with this for sure. I like Morrow a lot however I would much rather not be asking ourselves is he playing 30 games or 70 this season? I hope if we trade for a forward it's Bobby Ryan

Gotta love the Crazy Old Mules...

One GM out of those 7 are going to cave and give Howson something ridiculous for him and most of will be glad we didn't give that much. i.e- 2 top 6 players, prospect & picks. For instance this is a blurb I found from Yahoo sports on a trade from Sather would have to put together for Howson back at the deadline, So the headline would have read: "Rangers trade Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan McDonagh, Derek Stepan, Chris Krieder and a first-round pick for Rick Nash." That kid's is crazy and I want no part in this crazy man's idea of what he thinks is fair. Yes this article is from Feb. 28 but from what we hear Hoswon's price has not changed. Insane. Linky to the five month old article http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/high-rick-nash-price-tag-blue-jackets-trade-160758634.html -
A one year deal would be great, we need goals and with Dats he'd score them. We'll see what happens.
-
Obviously getting this deal done depends upon a lot of factors, but if Holland does not plan on trading then he'd better sign Semin. Overpay? Semin already stated he'd take less to stay in the NHL as well as saying he'd take a discount to play for the Wings to play with countryman Datsyuk (he said this during the tourny I believe) I truley think they can get a deal done here for around 5 year 29 mil. Not too shabby for a player like himself, added to our roster instead of taking away Mule or Flip...Imagine
-
The Parise and Suter signing was so specifically situated our only hope was Parise staying in Jersey...The question -but who says no to Detroit- is probably exactly why some people would say NO to Detroit...
-
? Since we are now two pages into this thread I assume someone has already defended Scotty's honor. That right there look's ridiculous. Scotty knows hockey baby.
-
I dig this idea, but I'd kick other tires before Semin if we did land him...just in case we reached a deal earlier then expected. Sick offense new defense.

Evander Kane is a Better Option than Zach Parise
13dangledangle replied to MrBest7's topic in General
I like Kane a lot and he'd be great for the Wings but never thought about it much. He's so young he could learn so much from Z and D (among others) about the role of tradition, along with helping retain one! Id love him to be one of two big offensive deals this offseason. I truley believe if Kenny cant add D he'll add goals. Sorry Jimmy -
Thanks thats very kind of you. I did not see that... I say he'd barely see the end of the second loosing season. There is a great hockey team here, we just need a couple key pieces to seal the deal, he better have that fixed three years from now!
