It's just really wierd to see them not really try, soI agree that it is time to start scratching some top players. They need to make it really sink in how unacceptable it is to bring such lackluster performances to the rink as often as they have been. I don't think anyone here minds seeing them lose a they battled in, it sucks yes but to see the effort still gets you a plus. This season it certainly looks like the "switch" of theirs seems to have blown a fuse.

I believe we brought him in because...back when we signed him there was talk of Babs and Commy not liking each other but it was Babs telling Holland to take a chance on him. Knowing how deep his defence was he did this so he could f*** with Commodore all year long, maybe Mike Commodore is to Mike Babcock what Matt Damon is to Jimmy Kimble. Im actually starting to feel bad for Pavel now and Im also starting to think bad things about Babcock...He tries everything to jump start lines trying endless options to the point of head scratching results but wont touch the line of Cleary-Datsyuk-Holmstrom?? Makes no sence at all to me. It also (like Aussie wing stated) makes no sence at all to break up Flip, Z and Mule those guys are money. At this point I think our bottom six will work with any number of combos, and they have proven it. All Babs has to do is remove Cleary (in my mind anyway) and put him down to line three or four. My though of Cleary (I do love him) ...IMO if Cleary is going to get 20 goals he's getting them from hard work and grinding down his opponents, like the way you play on a line three or four not finishing highlight reel plays on line one with Pasha.

I'll take White at his salary vs Raffi at his, Ian's pretty darn good with what he brings to the table. He moves the puck well, handles the puck well, loves to shoot, feeds nice passes and plays with passion. Not to mention consistency is his forte, Babs mentioned it last game when saying "he brings it every night". Ian White is playing like a #3-4 right now a #5-6, and I watched White play for years and never saw too much physical presence from the guy but he's certainly not affraid to go head first (pun intended) into the dirty places thats for sure. The physical presence on our D core would be Kronner, Big E, Commy and Stuart imo but White certainly could end up being our D's unsung hero by the end of this year

Miller is very lucky he didn't connect with his stick there, it looked to me like he swung that goalie stick around like he was going for a Mcsorley....which is more of a piece s*** move if you ask imo don't skate to the hash marks, at Lucic of all people.

I've watched this now about twenty-three times and honestly if I was Khunacki and was coming around the net full tilt and the first thing I see is Murphy looking behind him IM GOING TO EASE UP AT VERY LEAST NOT PUT MY ARMS UP AND SMASH HIM IN THE HEAD. Deserved suspension.

The only time Dat's has looked slow to me is after he's been backchecking like a banchee and nearing the end of a shift. He has shown his classic burts to pull away/get by oppents as well as he ever has imo. His shot isn't on point is the only thing I notice, last year he was like eleventh or something in shooting percentage this year he seems to be flubbing half of them. Alas he still has ten points in 13 games, alright numbers for a funk...In the next few games once Dr. Rahmani fix's those laser sights installed in his retinas that shot of his should be back in business. The only thing I'll say about his line mates, because Clears and Holmer do great things, just don't play Dats with both of them at once. Please put Hudler with him

Ok I really don't get the hate for Big Bert I wont lie. I get being annoyed with him but he's an aging player we picked up at a good price who does a lot more for his buck then most. EDIT: I don't know anybody who ever thought Bertuzzi would ever score 50 goddamn goals here? Unless you live under a rock you would know of his injury problems, he did try to play here before after all, again I get the frustation that sometimes come with him from a dumb penalty standpoint but I still feel he does a lot more good then bad for this club. On the rink and off.

I agree for sure with putting Bruno into the top six or at leat a solid line 3 perhaps with Flip, he's big and good on the puck with a good shot. Let's play him with some big boys and see if can finish. I like Bert however and wouldn't mind seeing him with Bruno and Flip....I also wouldn't mind seeing these lines for a night or so...
