Your right in the aspect of they have a lot of ground to make up. They CAN be proud however of their win, and why not they played a good game last nite and Mason was good as well. Their young kids looked good, and with Wiz back the Jackets D looks a little deeper. It's only 1 win but they did it convincingly.

Conks didnt play well no, but a piece of s***? ....Conks has been around for a while, he'll do what he needs to do and bounce back. I felt he started to look more comfortable in the third also. Dats looks like a frustrated man out there as well, he appears to be getting pushed down and hacked at A LOT so far and his face shows it. I just hope he chanels it well, slew footing isnt cool. EDIT: Please play Hudler with Dats and Z (or Flip or Mule anyone but Cleary to be honest) I would like to see Cleary with Abby, Bert or Helm.

Not much to speak of so far, Conks looks just plain scared every shot is going to go in and Columbus knows it. I also agree it's time to put a time out on Z&D for a few shifts at least. Heres to an awesome third...LGW

I loved the year Shanny had there, 95/96 if Im not mistaken. The year before he came to the Wings, scored like 45 goals and almost 80 points while overtaking captaincy. I was so happy when we got him.

Where the hell do all of these people come from that are pissed that these guys want an extra day with their new family? Its disgraceful if you ask me but obviously these opinions come from people who have never experienced what you go through, so many different things can happen one can hardley put it into words how ridiculous some of these responses sound. I didn't really know either of them personally but went to the rival high school of Justin Williams in Cobourg, Ontario (home also of retired Steve Smith) and Shane O'Brien is our boy from PH (port hope,ont). Again I don't know them personally but mingled with them at different points of life, more before really even knowing who they where. ...And on a side note my wife's grandfather "Darce" Campbell has a contract from the Wings from the early 40's and went to camp but his wife asked him to come home for the family as hockey players didnt get paid a lot in these days and he was a banker by trade so he opted out and did that intsead. By the way he tells stories he played with the big boys and loved it but Im not sure how long he was there and what not. Ill find out and update as soon as I find out the nitty gritty.

I certainly think we need to remove Cleary from the line for the time being but I love the line of Mule Flip Bert as the 2nd line. Im sticking to my guns and think Hudler would be perfect with Z&D on the 1st line. Three great passers, shooters and some of the most creative visions in the game.

White is a solid player, I didnt see much of him after he left the t-dot but there he was there most consistent dman. If you look at his last couple years his salary is about right, but if you look again at the end of this season it'll look like a steal. Great job by Kenny on this one.

I didn't see last nights game but I thought so far that Z has looked real good. Like other people are saying ZDC isn't working, put Hudler there and you'll see a sweet ass line. I was thinking during all previous games so far how good Z has looked to me so I question my own sanity when I read all these posts. I thought him and Dats have looked stellar together so far, great passing, great on the back check (obviously), and creating great scoring chances. I truly dont feel it's anything major just a case of being a couple weeks in and finding that mojo again, the only thing I think he needs to get back is his accuracy has slipped a tad...I hope to see a solid year from the euro twins yet again!

This would be fantastical! I think one more true sniper like him would put this team right where I want it.

I negged you on this one and here is why. How can you say people are not "up to date on their hockey"? Tuomo has been in Carolina for four years now, and "up around 60 points a season"? He has never seen 60. His highest totals are 57, 54, 44(as a hawk), 38, 35, 21. So I guess by your averages Hudler is also a 60 point scorer. Tuomo is a talented player and his numbers are indeed solid but I don't see that as a good fit or deal with Hudler is all. To claim people are ignorant to the game of hockey because they don't agree with your trade idea is silly, and the main reason for my neg.
