It's just the 4 and 5 day breaks is all. I just would have preferred that we played more in the beginning to shake the rust off quicker, then at the end of the year we get some rest. With the Wings being 4-0 obviously it's working. ...How can you be satisfied seeing them only play this much? I would watch them every day if I could, "you should too!"

I getting sick of seeing the Wings once a week
-
I agree, there is no one on our forward roster that I would bump for this kid. I look forward to seeing him play though. Maybe we will get him in a couple years for a bag of chips.

I think Big E is playing well, or at least he's exceeding my expectation that's for sure. I feel the team is playing well, yes they are making some mistakes but after only four games in they're still shaking some rust off. Kindl has been great and I believe White is going to kill it in points and have a surreal year for him here. Our D is looking great (and with room for improvment that's a good thing) and in a few more games our forwards lines will be clicking even more so Im pretty stoked about these guys this year!

That is awesome for brunnstrom to have that feeling back and I'm also happy to hear Babs say he thinks he'll challenge for a top six at some point. This was my feeling as well when he got the try out, hopefully he get's out there soon time.

Look forward to seeing this via gamcenter live after I'm off work tonite. Keep rolling boy's...

I have switched to only internet for everything home phone (skype), t.v (Netflixusversionsomuchbetter;), mobile texting (txtdrop.com), and my NHL come from LGW along with NHL gamecenter live on PS3. It saves money and through one router six people run there lives...Pretty sweet.

Every cup is obviously great and we as wing fans of the last 2 decades are very, very fortunate to be involved in such greatness. Being an hour from Toronto EVERYONE is a leafs fan (or habs fans but they don't even count) and these people havent seen there team even in the running for the last 7 years or so, and in the last 10 we've all as fans been involved in 4. Truely a unique team and I look forward to number 5th in here soon;) .....Oh yeah 1997 and 2008 are tied for my favorite, 97 for obvious reasons and 08 because our boys who we drafted and saw grow as players lead the way to the cup just a little while after Yzerman retired leaving people wondering about our future. That one was sweet!

Report: Pre-season Fighting Lowest in More Than a Decade
13dangledangle replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
I'm just refering to comments made from the fighters themselfs stressing knowing they more then likely have to fight "Parros" tonite. This is the "staged" part of it to me that doesn't have to be there. I guess the only way we can have our cake and eat it to instate all new fighting rules/regulations and review fights just like hits and the head-Shanny-decides?? Seems like this game is getting very complicated . I just don't want to see that part of the game completely gone, altered ok, gone no. -
Everyone knew Shanny was going to come in with guns a blazin' this year, and he has. It's 5 days into the season he's not letting up anytime soon. I agree with 2 mins high sticking, and i agree with 4 for drawing blood, however I also agree with 2 games for leaving someones teeth on the ice. Shanny is actually going to make these guys think before reacting, people can ***** all they want to but somewhere along the line SOME guys have lost respect of their fellow players and Shanny is trying to get that back imo.

After Hossa Im a little bit hesitant to trust anyone enough to re-sign, especially loosing someone from the top six.

Report: Pre-season Fighting Lowest in More Than a Decade
13dangledangle replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
I think the league in my honest opinion could do without the quote on quote "enforcer" style of fights where you know Shelly is fighting Perros tonight. I like those fights don't get me wrong, but those dudes over a long period of time do a lot of damage to themselfs both mentally and physically. The fights that are great are the passion fights, as long as we can somehow keep those intact we should be ok. -
How long before headshots are embellished by garbage players?
13dangledangle replied to AceInTheSleeve's topic in General
I brought this up in a thread about smith a couple weeks ago, and its was cookes name I mentioned. The question I asked was how long until players like cooke (and avery but it looks like he wont be doing that...) start diving on hits that could resemble a shot to the head...IT TOOK 2 GAMES, f*** that we need a punishment for diving because in my opinion it is almost as bad for the game...Almost. -
For a second I thought I was on a penguins thread. (jk.)

I really hope not, I think he's going to do great here as long as Babs gets him out there soon. The only person as it stands to be waived at this point to me is Miller. I like him I just feel that Brunnstrom has so much more up side to the big picture here, we have enough guys to play Millers role.

It was actually 9 ...Still more then it should've been however...

Bingo! I love Huds and Flip, they add character and deep skill to the Wings. Eva also poured salt in my memory wound when he brought up tollefson (what a horrid exchange)..grass is always greener to some folks I guess...
-
I believe he started this by saying he is only creating this one thread this year and adding to it as the year goes on... ....As far as lines go we may have to get real use to seeing almost a different team every night, babs never waits long before changing something up. The easiest way to change up during a game is playing with lines, its tough for the coach on the opposing team as well. What worries me (I just feel he pulls the trigger to soon some times) is the number of combos he can do with there scoring depth this year. Last year we had grinding depth, this year seems special and I look forward to it. Also by the looks of young guys in GR we are in good shape for a few years.

I watched the condensed reply and was happy with what was happening but saw the slip at the end coming. The saving grace for me was seeing how pissed off Jimmy looked at the end, he's got the talent and is working super hard so I see him having a great year. Also when Hudler took that feed from Dats and finished it the way he did Eva I thought of you and couldnt help but think if he played with Dats every game he could score, well he's on pace for 82 !

Buffalo signs Ville Leino to 6-year, 27m contract
13dangledangle replied to Lonewuhf's topic in General
I agree with this,he'll do well there. Leino is a great talent and would do well almost anywhere at this point, his confidence is must be real high since leaving here. For whatever reason the stars were not in alignment for Ville here but I am glad to see him having solid career going. -
That's what I was thinking, other teams mention it but when I think of our "big picture" pricless.
-
Great news! Congrats Fabian welcome to the Wings.

Thank you. Such a great sign of things to come!
