Where was this when Air Canada was looking for a new look? I think it would suit an Airline better then a hockey team. I'm still stoked about the Jets, it's just not "cool" enough for me to buy any of there s***. Just like when the Oilers revamped theirs, sometimes the simplest way is the best way.

Such a shame, almost everyone saw this coming and that doesn't make it suck any less. I hope he can somehow make his way back.

I never had the natural skill set of superstar, just a little better then average player on a little old house league team, with a couple all-star stints and high school teams that never developed into anything. Pair that with an average kids attitude and bingo the "Professional" hockey dream died at 16 for snowboarding.

This is not right at all. I have said this way too many times as of late but my thoughts are paryers are with the Belak family. Class act I loved Belak in TO.

Not to offend anyone but some of us on here should remember it's a "bobblehead contest" not a "favorite Red Wing competition". I feel happy for Bert and what he has done for the Wings, I'm not saying he's more important to the organization than Kronwall but IMO he deserves a bobblehead.

This made me laugh, it's been so long they look funny in the mix. If Reimer plays like they think he's going to then they have a chance. Would be pretty sweet to see them in the playoffs again. I've also always since I was a young kid loved the Wings-Leafs rivalry. We almost had a cup final with them but we ended up with Carolina instead. People around here (my home town) being an hour outside Toronto get so jacked up everyone turns into insane hockey fans when the Leafs make the playoffs, I miss that.

I voted for Bert, I would love "Bobbletuzzi". I also agree that Jimmy should get one too.

Am I the only one who thinks Brunnstrom can make the team? I really think his head is in the right place in this situation to see it through and make the cut. The fact he didnt do great in Dallas and Toronto mean nothing more to me either then thank god he wasnt there longer. Let's be honest , neither of those teams have displayed the best track record for grooming superstars. When on the other hand the Wings have shown over and over again that's more less a forte of theirs, finding diamond's in the rough so to speak. Ok so Maybe Brunnstrom wont be a first rate superstar but I certainly think he can reach the plateau we wanted Leino to and then some. I just have a feeling the Wings are going to get the last laugh with this kid.

How many Games do you think kocur gets for the late punch now days? I say 3 and a small fine....If I didn't love the game so much I'd hate it.

I think your right on the money about that line four. Helm could move up a spot or two as well but they just do that job so perfectly. I would like some people on here to throw out some of the best line four combo's the league has to offer and pair them up against Mursak, Helm and Eaves. Last year on many, many nights I couldnt wait for line four to come on the ice so we could sustain pressure in the offensive end for a while.

Flippula- Datsyuk-Hudler Franzen-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi Brunnstrom-Abdelkader-Cleary Mursak-Helm-Eaves Holmer-Miller I know it's unlikely Fabian makes the team but from what I've read it's desire and defensive play that he lacks and coming from Dallas and Toronto I truly think he could be the perfect fit at the perfect time. I also know Holmer isnt even full time on my "dream Roster" for the year, but with the vets we have and young guns we have, I believe (at least for the moment lol) this would be the best dressed squad we could put on the ice. I agree 100%. Helm completely energizes our fourth line, he's a guy that makes the guys around him play harder, hell they have to to keep up to the guy. Now that we have Mursak and Eaves too...Priceless!

I feel should and could are two different things here. Can he play the top line with Z and D? Of course, but at this point with moves Holland has made it is obvious that torch passing time is among the older generation of Wings so I suspect he will see a lot less time and as some have said a PP specialist.

Unless I missed it I didn't see anyone saying Brunnstrom would make the team, So I will add that he takes Emmerton's spot which would be a real good thing in my opinion. To me a Brunnstrom with ethic and a will to win (if that indeed is the case) makes him a threat on any line, like Hudler used to do/be. I also think Hank, Pavs, Helm and Flip have great years, Howard and Conks are fabulous, Bottom 6 all around are stellar but Mule and Huds come up short.
