Then I say at least 8 because I would sign Lidstrom this year on a 1 year deal over Keith that's for sure. I have a feeling a lot of other teams would too. PS- does anyone have a problem with 6.2? (I didnt think so)

I think this a great idea, Smyth would really help there young guns with some savvy veteranness(?) and I know he'd have a great welcome home. Those of you saying he left for money is bogus, Lowe had a lot of players wanting money, Pisani, Staios, Pronger, Horcoff, Hemsky, Roloson and of course Smyth. Lowe neglected to even talk about it with him until it was too late and was shipped to the Islanders. Im sure there is more to the story but to say Lowe dropped the ball on Smyth goes without saying, Lowe was a ****** and showed it time and time again.

This is the right move for the Wings. I thought Salei would move closer to home but I wasnt sure about Joey Mac, he had a good year of hockey this season. I remember some huge stops he made for us and hope some one takes a shot on him (pun intended) as a full time back up. Thanks for the season guys and good luck.

It's a good day, thank's Nick

Big part's of me feel that Jagr just has had such a bad attitude, like with the Rangers he publicly gave up before actually being defeated. I hate that. Then there is the other side that thinks with Pavs or Hank he could be huge....but I still hope we get a little younger scoring help opposed to older...

I have always loved Huds, still do but I do feel the best move for this team is to get whatever they can get for this guy and use his salary as padding to seal a deal on another....Just not sure who...

With the luck this guy has seen the last couple years Id have to pass. The only veteran I want to see the Wings sign is Lidstrom.
-
Well according to posts Ive seen, the key in signing players is to play alongside Datsyuk?? No s*** players put up good numbers playing with him, maybe he will center two lines this year.
-
Im nervous of all the things Ive read this offseason of Lidstrom. It sounds like he doesnt really want to come back-or know he does...same thing to me!-The back end without Lids is offence without???

great end to the period, chillin' some more beer and Lighting the Q. Should be an awesome 2nd! -
I cant believe it! Such great news for the game of hockey. This gives me hope that they will create a new, fantastic re-alignmen. One where ALL teams play each other the same number of games...fingers crossed!

I love you Blueadams

I hope to see Tartar all season in spurts but He'll stay with the Griffs for sure this season. Im soo stoked to see Mursak this year as a staple to our team, this kid is awesome!

Really, REALLY hate vancouver but love Boston! Not sure how this series is going to pan out, but if feb. 26. 2011 is any indication Ill be a happy man! PS-The NHL's schedule is ******* retarded and the fact great teams dont play sustains it. -
Sorry if this has been covered already but I'm really confused as to why he was a healthy scratch 9 out of 11 games? It just doesn't make sence to me at all, Abby or Miller both could/should have been benched for Modano. He's just a different kind of player, goals were what we needed and Mo never had a chance to prove he was worthy. Is this Babcocks "American" dislike we have heard about? I just find some of the choices Babs made this year questionable is all.

I would actually like that move, it would be good for Toronto they need someone to turn to other then Burke . *******>Super nice guy. I think it works.

What an offseason, but to be honest Holland has had it pretty easy the past couple years compared a lot of other GMs around the horn. Not this time, holy moly so it looks like we are shaping up like this (capgeek.com)... Franzen-Dats-Holmer ? -Hank-Bertuzzi ?-Flip-Hudler ?-Helm-Abby Lids(assuming)-Stuart Kronner-Kindl ?-? ?-? Howard ? ............Wow is an under statement here guys and girls, and yes Eaves, Miller, Drapes and Ozzy mite be back to fill voids, though Im not convinced yet thats the way to go. The only one I really want on that list is Eaves. We dont need Miller or Drapes, we need Mursak this kid is gold, reminds me so much of Helm which is great because Helm is becoming one of my favorites. But with Drapes and Miller it comes us the same player X4. Kindl should be up full time and I think he'll develop into a solid D man for us. The rest I say we fill with ufa/rfa/the trading of Flip and Hudler. We need to score more goals this year then every so we must load up on our top six. I dont know how, but I do know things are getting shaken up this year, good luck Holland!

Now thats funny! ...And no I dont think Lids will retire, not if he gets to pick Weber again
-
Eberle certainly gets the nod here. That was, as they said when he scored it, the goal of the year. I love this kid, fell in love with him as many other canadian hockey fans at the juniors when they lost to the states. Eberle had the whole team on his back and will be a great leader for the oilers future as well. The thing that sets Pav apart is that move is equaled at least six other times in that sixty minute game. X number of games he played that season
