Line thread...I'll bite First of all Ill start by saying that I wouldnt call Lids and Raffy embarrassing, they are one of the best defensive pairings of all time. Also I believe your 3rd line scores would most likely be made if we acquire a second line scorer that drops some 2nd line back. For example purposes: Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Flippula-Zetterberg-Afinogenov Bertuzzi-Abdelkader-Hudler Cleary-Helm-Eaves or Ritola like him too Draper .......with this you get 2 awesome score lines, a 3rd that should put up some goals for sure, while Bert and Abby dish out some "grit" and line 4 being about speed and hard work all the while netting a few in the process.

Completely agree! Have always hated him more so with St.louis and Anaheim but we dont see them as much now, and when we do it doesnt really scream playoff intensity. However if for some odd reason he became a member of the Wings I would get a Pronger Jersey and sport it with the same s*** eating grin he's been pissing me off with for years.

I have been saying for the last 2 years now to sign this guy. First of all I know he has been known to be bad defensively and lazy at times, on the Sabers. He was great with Atlanta and must have been a little humbled making 800k there as well. My main reason I think he would do well in Detroit is his countryman Datsyuk. Dats is a very well respected hockey player that other players (Bertuzzi, Hossa) say is the most talented player in hockey...and for Maxim to get a chance to play with him? I dont know I just think they would kick some ass. Example: Afinogenov-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Flippula-Zetterberg-Franzen Hudler-Abdelkader-Cleary Draper-Helm-Eaves Ritola ..........and if Bert could magically get signed too, put Z&D with Maxim

? I really dont get the hate for Rafi, if Lids leaves we NEED Rafi back there. He is a brilliant puck moving defensman who can send a pass out of the zone as well if not better then anyone in the league. I also still think, especially after his dominance at the Olympics, he should quarter back the second powerplay. As for Huds plus a grinder this all depends to me on Bertuzzi (which sounds funny, and looks funny as I typed that lol) but honestly Bert has impressed me this past year, he has great size, hands, shot and he has worked on speed as well. He is a GREAT top 6 guy if we can sign him soon. Huds will help alot and we have more 4 liners then we need already if you ask me. I would rather Miller/Eaves be that guy.

Over Phaneuf? Dion is certainly deserving of this, or at very least will show he is. He fits in perfect with what Toronto loves, smaller tuff as nails kind of guy. The Marketing boys will love this>Dion will have a key to the city in no time.
