It's unbelievably difficult to build through first round picks, unless your in the top 5 consistently. Edmonton and Pittsburgh have been able to do it and the jury is still out on Edmonton. I think the Wings are fine. Had the puck not struck the post twice we aren't even posting about this. Our farm system btw is pretty loaded but most of the good stuff is in junior. The Wings do not play 19 year olds.

I know we shouldn't overreact to these tough games, but Sheahan could be a huge addition to the power play. If anyone watches griffins hockey they would know that Riley is the net frot presence on the power play and he does a great job allowing Almqvist and company to fire at a screened goalie

Look at Chicago right now. They are dominating St. Louis. St.Louis had a rough game against Nashville last night.

I thought they played extremely well, but when you play back to back like this the other team will always have the advantage in the third. Pucks just did not want to go in. They will start though.

I thought Tootoo provided a pretty good spark last night. He didn't play much for the same reason Kronwalls minutes were way up. The whole thrid period was a pp fest.

To be fair were missing our best 2 penalty killers. Couple of our best pk's came when Datsyuk and Z were playing. The power play though is going to be great. The puck movement was outstanding. The puck just didn't want to go in.
