People need to give this guy a break. He's 27 in his second full season as a goalie for the Red Wings. The second toughest job in Detroit right next to being the closer for the Tigers or the quaterback for the Lions. Jimmy was great last year and with out him that longest playoff streak in history would have been snapped. He's playing at a high level right now hopefully he just needs to rest that shoulder.

Nice to see Abby sniff his potential over the past couple games. Supposed to be a top power forward on this team. i liked seeing him step up to fight for a fallen teammate. really good to see with the playoffs just weeks away.

You people need to understand Howard is a 2 year starter!!! For christ sake this isn't even close to the best that we are going to see him at. I think some time off will do him some good. I see him back in time for the playoffs and leading Detroit in another cup run.

Howie has had a tough year no doubt about that. However he was our MVP last year. I think our D has been subpar at best this season. I have to say though I still have a ton of faith in Jimmy. I think his playoff stats will make up for his "bad" year. Don't be surprised if the Wings do win the Stanley Cup this year and Howie is holding that trophy that depicts the old Maple Leaf Gardens.

I see Jimmy bouncing back quite nicely tonight. A personality on 97.1 the ticket had some harsh words saying Howard hasn't won Detroit a game this year. All he needs to do is watch the last meeting between Detroit and Vancouver.

Finally versus gets a guy who deserves the spot. They let the Hurricanes, the Lightning, the Bruins announcers call games. Now they have a well rounded guy who is more than deserving of the job. Ken before the Red Wings worked for CBC kind of like the position that Elliot Friedman is in currently. I just hope he doesn't leave the Wings.
