Some observations tonight. First game I've attended this year and watching from the stands gives an entirely new appreciation for Larkin. This guy is a ball of energy and skill. Extremely difficult to check and on top of it all had amazing hockey sense. The third D pairing is a goal waiting to happen. Kindl and Smith can't play together too much longer and expect to win. At one point or another both of them were turning the puck over however both provided some needed offensive punch. Watching Smith step into the play was very refreshing. Ericsson should be the first Dman to rest when 65 gets back. 52 provided nothing tonight other than costly turnovers and killed momentum in the offensive zone. Lastly Zetterberg was the best player on the ice by far. This guy just seems to get better with age. His puck control was second to none and was great defensively in his own zone.

I recall 5-55 , 16-2, and 3-27 in 97

E needs a change. He has regressed and is taking Kronwall with him. Our best pair in the past 3 years was Smith and Kronwall. Play Smith with 55 and let Green and 65 play together. Finish it off with 27 and a rookie. Bam over

Well whats gonna happen here? There's a pretty big logjam for D. Just signed Smith to a pretty good deal, don't see him being jettisoned off for nothing. That leaves E and Q. I would rather have Q for his pk skill but E has a degree of toughness when he wants to use it. XO and 47 are over ripe. Then there's Kindl, who is offensively skilled but a defensive liability. I for one hope we send E on his merry way. Maybe package him and Howard for an asset. 55-2 65-52 27-47
