im thinking Emmerton is a lock to make it... I also think that Brunnstrom has done very well and will get a contract... so im thinking the opening day line up will look something like this... Franzen, Zetterberg, Filppula Cleary, Datsyuk, Eaves Abdelkader, Helm, Bertuzzi Hudler, Miller, Holmstrom Emmerton Brunnstrom I also think that Emmerton and Brunnstrom will get ample opportunity to get on the main roster, especially if Hudler under-performs

from what I've gathered so far, I think the Griffins will actually be quite competitive this season and definitely be fighting to get into the playoffs. The roster should on opening day could look something like this: Tatar - Andersson - Nyquist Brunnstrom - Minard - Conner Pare - Ferraro - Coetzee Nestrasil - Raedeke - Callahan J. Johnson R. Johnson? Parkes? Aubry? Smith - Janik Lashoff - Exelby Amadio - Pyett Ernhardt Almqvist? Fournier? MacDonald Pearce McCollum (Toledo)? Mrazek? Sadikov? not to mention our deep prospect pool of future griffins... Sheahan, Pulkkinen, Jarnkrok, Jurco, Tvrdon, Sproul, Ouellet, Nedomlel, Marshall, Quine, Backman, and maybe even Marchenko (if we play our cards right) the future is looking bright my friends...

I am very excited to see what Jurco can do in camp as well. I think this kid will be on the Wings roster sooner rather than later. I am also stoked to see what Tvrdon can do. I think he is a very underrated player and will soon be a big part of the Red Wings.

The reason I picked Bertuzzi is that I believe he is a solid leader. He was an Alternate Captain in Vancouver during his hayday, and I think he brings a lot to the Wings locker room. As for Franzen, you guys are probably right, and someone like Stuart or Cleary could probably take it before him.

I think he will see a hand ful of games this year unless he absolutely KILLS it in training camp and beats out Kindl and Commodore... but next season he will be up for sure, fit right into the top 4 and be a finalist for the Calder... cant ******* WAIT for this kid to explode

I would like to see him keep a number in the 90's if he actually ends up on the Red Wings roster.... I like #94 for him. And while im at it, Id like to see Pulkkinen, Jurco and Jarnkrok all have numbers in the 90's when they reach the big club as well. I just think they look cutting edge and badass. But maybe thats just me.

I fully agree. I feel that Brunnstrom could really explode in Detroit. I really hope he gives it his all and wins a roster spot. The talent is definately there. We just need to harness it. He could potentially turn out to be an amazing reclaimation project. What have we got to lose?

Im all for it! The guy still has loooooads of potential. Lets see what he can do when hes fighting for a roster spot instead of having one given to him. Hes the kind of guy I would love to see on our 3rd line, if he can get his s*** together. Franzen, Datsyuk, Bertuzzi Cleary, Zetterberg, Mursak Brunnstrom, Filppula, Hudler Abdelkader/Holmstrom, Helm, Eaves Miller Emmerton(traded?) That looks like a deadly line up to me.

I seem to remember there was a rumour involving Zetterberg being traded to the Leafs a few years back, but I cannot remember for the life of me, who was going to be coming back to the Wings. Anyone else remember this? Either way, im glad it never happened...

Zetterberg and Franzen get 40+ goals Datsyuk breaks the 100 point mark Mursak eventually makes his way onto the 2nd line and scores 20+ goals Hudler has a bounceback season and gets 50+ points playing with Filppula on the 3rd line Helm has 20+ goals and is nominated for the Selke Howard and Conklin win the Jennings White has a career year and leads the team in +/- Commodore plays 60 games GO WINGS GO!!! :siren:

I actually have a weird feeling that Hudler is going to have a good year this year with 25 goals and 50+ points...but thats just me. Helm is a no brainer to bring back. Hopefully Abdelkader can get his game going this year. Wouldnt mind having Bertuzzi back on a year to year basis. Not sure about Holmstrom yet. Kronwall is a must. Hopefully Stuart will be back as well. I have a feeling that Lidstrom and Holmstrom may retire together. (definately if they win the Cup)

I totally agree. I want to have Howard and Conklin for the next couple of seasons. And then see where our goalie prospects are at. Looking for big things from Mrazek, but that will have to wait a while.
