I'm stoked that Conklin came back. I think he is a far better goalie than people give him credit for. His numbers in the '09 season were outstanding for a guy who had to take over the starting job for a bit, while Osgood got his s*** together. Welcome back Conks! im hearing that we might actually be pretty close to acquiring Semin. Apparently picks and prospects going the other way if it goes down. You have to assume that Hudler would be involved as well. Lets see what happens

I dont understand how Conklin "blowwwwwwwwssssss". Yes he had a bit of trouble while with St.Louis the last couple years, but was still a .500 goalie going 10-10-2 with 4 shut outs in 2010 and went 8-8-4 with 2 shut outs in 2011. When he played for us back in 2009, he was very solid stepping in whenever he was called upon and posting a 25-11-2 record with 6 shut outs. I would love to get him back.

So as you guys know, Doughty still has yet to sign a contract with LA. Do you think we should send an offer sheet? Should we try and trade for his rights? Even though we signed Commodore and White I believe we should do whatever it takes to get this kid. I just have a feeling he will end up one of the all time greats in his position. I would have no problem sending him a 10 year 70 mill offer sheet and losing those 1st round picks. Or a trade involving any combination of Filppula, Hudler, Ericsson, Emmerton, Mursak, 1st round picks (not all together but some combo of these guys). Thoughts?

absoluteley love the Exelby signing! he is hard as nails and has loads of experience. Wouldnt mind seeing him get a few games in for the wings this year.

i see our lines looking something like this...if nothing changes.... Franzen, Datsyuk, Holmstrom Cleary, Zetterberg, Bertuzzi Hudler, Filppula, Eaves Abdelkader, Helm, Miller Mursak Emmerton Lidstrom, Ericcson Kronwall, White Stuart, Commodore Kindl Howard Conklin (hopefully) I think Commodore is going to suprise everyone next season. I feel like he could really regain his form on the Wings and become a dominant shutdown D man with Stuart.

If this is the D we are going with this season, then these are the pairs I would start with.. Lidstrom , Ericsson Kronwall , White Stuart , Commodore 7th Kindl oh and by the way, what numbers do you think Commodore and White will wear? I like #22 for Commodore but im not sure about White...obviously he cant wear his #7...
