I saw that tweet thismorning as well. Im not sure how I feel about it, given Hudlers great play over the last part of the season. If this were pon the table a few months ago I would be in for sure...but now...im not so sure if this trade were to happen I would definately have to say id rather trade Kindl over Ericsson. Ericsson has been great this year and will only get better. interesting idea though...

ive kinda noticed his lack of enthusiasm as well...Helm has drastically out performed him this season in my opinion...and ive actually liked Mursak out there more than Abdelkader as well...hopefully he can get back into his 08 and 09 playoff form if not...well...I dont know...at least his +/- is good

f*** I hope so...Ive been rootin' for him AAAALL season. Who knew all it would take is Pavel friggin' Datsyuk to help Hudler get his groove back but seriously...its about dam time...and not a moment too soon because im sure Kenny was close to sending his ass out of town.

personally I wouldnt mind seeing Smith backing up Howard...it would give Macdonald the chance to get back to the Griffins and start playing more hockey.

I have no problem with Salei...he plays great for what we pay him. However, if we resign him for next year I think he will be the odd man out and will sit a lot more than Kindl. We need to get Kindl in the top six for the most part next season.

nope he's a UFA so we do actually have a shot at landing him in the offseason for a cheaper price tag...but who knows what Kenny has up his sleeve

I think sending Doughty an offer sheet is the best option. I want this kid on our team more than any other player. He would not "replace" Lidstrom, but would be the next best thing to securing a young defense man who will win his fair share of Norris trophies down the road. Doughty, Kronwall Rafalski, Ericsson Stuart, Kindl/Salei Smith that looks bonkers to me not sayin' , just sayin'

ive always loved Chris Phillips for some reason...I know hes having a terrible year (0G 3A -22), but he has had some pretty good seasons in the past (8G 18A +36 in '07) I know he is expensive as well at $3.5 but just always thought for some reason he would fit in well with the Wings and would certainly play better on this team. Not saying we should go ahead and do it but just always liked him and may be able to help out if we see more defensive injuries. And if not this season he may be worth looking at in the offseason for the right price. Just a thought

wow...unreal...well I can tell that you never even READ my original post because if you had, you would know that it was completely hypothetical...not that you would know what that means so I will lay it out for you... if you would have read this : "hey guys I just thought I would put together a list of goalies that the Wings might be interested in acquiring providing they do not want to use McDonald as Howards back up and also providing Osgood will be out possibly for the remainder of the season..." then you would understand that the point of this thread was completely hypothetical that the Wings brass decided NOT to go with MacDonald...if they do indeed decide to go with him for the remainder of the season, I am perfectly fine with that and have full confidence in him, but the brass might not want to do that because if he is up for an extended period of time he is no longer waiver exempt... it was just to hopefully get a discussion going but you dont seem to know how to participate in one...so dont worry about it oh and please dont pretend to quote me...its just makes you look like an ass... love, robb himself

I completely agree. I think its obvious he wants out of toronto and toronto has been talking about trading both goalies at one point or another...i feel it would be worth Kenny looking into because I think he can be one hell of a goalie given that he enjoys playing for the team he is on...

the plot thickens....perhaps he will dawn the winged wheel after all?
