what do you guys feel about these d-combos? Lidstrom, Kronwall Rafalski, Salei Stuart, Ericsson/Kindl I like it a lot myself...thoughts?

how about #4 ? Ive always loved that number for defense...and #2 but that will better suit Smith when he ends up on the Wings...

I for one, am a HUGE fan of this signing. I have always wanted Salei here for some weird reason and I truly feel that he will be the perfect guy for Ericsson and Kindl to switch in and out of the lineup with. Lets get this season started...our team is SET... other than losing atleast one of Miller Meech and Ritola...but thats besides the point... GO SALEI!

I think Bertuzzi has been one of our best in the shootouts so I think the top 3 should be... 1.Datsyuk 2.Bertuzzi 3.Hudler then... 4.Modano 5.Zetterberg 6.Franzen

I saw him play a lot in Vancouver and he seemed to be either amazing or just horrible....you never knew which Krajicek you were going to get...

its kinda funny that our 3rd line at the start of last season was Leino, Filppula, Williams... and this year it is Hudler, Modano, Cleary... so weve basically replaced Leino and Williams with Modano and Hudler! thats an INCREDIBLE improvement... yes I know Leino was good for Philly after he left here but he was absolutely HORRIBLE when he was here so this is a drastic improvement be about it...

Zetterberg and Franzen both reach the 40 goal mark... Datsyuk reaches the 100 point mark... Howard reaches the 40 win mark... We Win The Stanley Cup... Franzen wins MVP.... Lidstrom retires on top... we sign Doughty to an 8 mill + offer sheet in the off season... be about it...

either way...this kid is going to be a star for us for yeas to come

I'd take him for a veeeeery low cap hit...hes' solid when he's not injured...he would atleast give some more competion to our younger guys...and would be a great role model in Grand Rapids

it also mentions that the wings may be interested in Willie Mitchell...ive watched him a lot here in western BC and would love to have him on the team for the right price...and if his concussion problems are somewhat in control

I was at a couple Griffins games late last season when they came to play in Abbotsford, and Landon was travelling with them and sittin right across the steps from me with his mom. I leaned over and told him I waslooking forward to seeing him and Tatar as the next great players for the Wings. He thanked me and said he will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Hopefully he gets moved to GR this season and gets his pro career going!

why are we talking about trading for Doughty when its possible we could send him a huge offer sheet next summer? in the event that he does re-sign with LA i dont think they would trade him away for anything...if we want to get him our only shot will be next summer with an offer sheet... oh how I pray for that day....

We need to send as much $$$ as it takes to Doughty in an offer sheet if the Kings dont get him locked up! I would like this more than words can possibly describe... Make it happen Kenny!

yeah I was kinda on the fence about it...but I sure would love Jack Johnson on the wings...maybe instead of Abdelkader we could send Miller+Stuart+3rd rounder for Jack Johnson and a 2nd.... I like the look of that a little better

I heard a rumour a couple days back about Detroit sending Abdelkader + Stuart to LA for Jack Johnson and a 2nd rounder... im not sure how I would feel about that trade...

I say we toss whatever we can at him in an offer sheet next summer if he isnt re-signed... Doughty is my favorite player in the NHL not playing for the Red Wings
