I am usually the last person to bag on our defence but after what I saw last night from Lebda...he just looked silly out there. I think we have given enough chances to Lebda and Meech. Send Meech back to GR and bring up Janik to play with Ericsson and use Lebda as the 7th if need be.

First off...I'm a big fan of Tardiff, but dont count on seeing him this season unless things go terribly wrong. I could definately see him being brought up now and then next season though once our roster shrinks down.

Ive always really liked Nylander and would not mind having him on the club at all. But thats pretty pricey.

Bertuzzi has looked awesome this season and HORRIBLY unlucky hitting more posts than I can remeber anyone doing this early in a season. His luck will turn around and he will start putting up big numbers along side Datsyuk. I also think we should bring Janik back up and put him beside Ericsson. I really liked what I saw from him when he was up. Make Lebda the 7th and send Meech away.

I've always been a fan of Christensen and at $750,000 I would definately bring him in for a little more depth

I was just thinking about the option of finding a free agent goaltender to perhaps help us out in net, and though there arent many good ones left there is still Manny Fernandez who in my opinion is still a great goal tender. Last season while sharing the crease with Vezina winner Tim Thomas, he would also help them win the Jennings trophey for fewest goals against in the league at 196. Fernandez recorded a 16-8-3 record with a 2.59 goals against average and may be worth a look at in the next couple months if our goaltending situation continues to go south. Im sure he would be very affordable considering he has not had any offers at all. what do you guys think?

bring Larsson up now and give him a few games and just see what happens... if it doesnt pan out, we are back to where we were anyway

Leino is defiantely going to respond positively to this. He needed a little break to get his head together. Although he hadnt been scoring a lot I thought he actually looked pretty good out there from game to game. Hopefully they can find a good line to play with now that Filppula is out. I still think that they should try him with Datsyuk and Bertuzzi.
