i cannot THIS this enough either! anger slowly subsiding, and babs' presser says it all. lets just get back to rooting for our TEAM to outplay the opposition, and lets take these next two home games no matter what. bring that game 7 intensity, and we've got this by the ass. bring our A-game, and we win. keep it simple. hard to let these last two go, but if we expect our team to do it, we as fans had ought better do it as well. (dammit, its sunday. i can't buy any "forget-juice" until tomorrow)

i've watched hockey longer than you've had a team, sparky... while i'm not fool enough to blame the refs entirely for this loss, they were a huuuuuge ******* help. as i said previously, this was the worst officiating i've seen, ever, in any league, in all of hockey. ever. longer than you've had a team... how about you man up and accept that posting on a wings board is gonna get you noticed as an instigator, and take the shots that will inevitably be aimed at you? yeah, didn't think so youngblood...

you know, i really didn't think anything could make me laugh after that "game". way to go sharkie!! we owned you all 2nd period. and really, most of the 1st (after a shaky first few mins). would've owned you all of the 3rd too, however...well, you saw what happened. yes, some of the calls against you were horses*** also...but things being equal...heh, geddit? i said things could be equal in the "new nhl"...

i also say yes for consistency. but when have NHL and consistency ever collided in a sentence without the use of the words "dubious lack of" in there?? he won't be, and it'll be par for the effed up course. he did look pretty shocked by it as he sat down in the box. coach q, on the other hand, should be punched in the face for frivolously waving it off in that "i can't believe this was a penalty" way of his. (okay, coach q should just be punched in the face. repeatedly. list your reasons)

correct my "heckle ettiquite" if i'm wrong, but i think the "hoooo-waaaard" (or insert goalie name here) chant supposed to be chimed in when your team is actually in the offensive zone? seemed like phoenix was always chanting it when we were on the attack! strikes me as logical that the chant should come up when it actually might have some kind of effect... i could be wrong. i'm told i usually am...

if i had to hazard a guess, i'd bet on work ethic (or lack thereof) being the reason. same as it ever was...

i mentioned this earlier in another thread, and it bears repeating: sammy had his house in novi up for sale pretty much right after s***tsburgh left our ice with our cup. i don't think he ever intended on staying a wing, probably for the reason that he'd always be a bottom-6er here. can't blame the guy for wanting more minutes, really...and it has done wonders for him. sure, i'd love to have kept him given hindsight...but who's to say he'd be pulling off the kind of production he is right now had he stayed? then again, with all the injuries this year, he just might've... spilt milk under the bridge, and all of that...

am i the only one who remembers that samuelssen had his house in novi up for sale like 2 days after game 7 of the SCF? his decision was made before any of the hudler arbitration debacle was in play... furthermore, am i the only one who recalls that it was the leauge's interference with hudler's "defection" which caused things to slow down dramatically, thus tying kenny's hands during free agency? sure seems like it... lastly...he's coming back, people. accept it, and root for him to do the best job possible for the team you all claim to love so much. cause everything else...hookers/size/etc...is just distraction.
