Whats the deal with this student rush deal. I know if you show up on game day with your student card you get tickets for 15 bucks but I wouldn't mind some info after that. If you show up with another person can you get tickets by eachother or is it just single tickets sold with this deal? Are lower bowl tickets available or is it just the nosebleeds? And alst but not least.. how early should one go to the box office before the game if he and another person wanted tickets? Me and my brother are planning on getting to alot more games this year with the student rush deal if we can but we aren't really sure how it works. Any help would be great guys. Thanks

Eaves did really good considering Versteeg isnèt a stranger to dropping the gloves. In teh NHL he doesnèt fght as much but he's had a few seasons where he's had five or so fights. After today I wouldn't mind Eaves gonig a bit more with that impressive showing.

great fight. I was at the game and there was such a long build up to this. They were kinda pushing eachother arnd a bit and you could see a slash here or there. Then they got lined up by eachother and it took forever to get the puck dropped but you could tell eaves wanted him bad. Patty was right in Versteegs ear and shaking his gloves, you could see it coming a mile away

If they come out flat tonight at least May will be out there to fight and sway the momentum hopefully. I also see the wings being pissed after last game and playing a very physical game.

Downie isn't that bad of a fighter. He's a douchebag not a punching bag. He usually has around 10 fights a season which is a respectable number and has had 16 in one before. He can fight, Ovechkin hasn't been in a fight, he was close once with Richards but it got broken up so yeah Downie most likely would have tuned him.

Yeah but thats also the entire of having a person that can fight on the team, to stick up for guys like OV. I'm sure Braley would've been in huge s*** since he is a capable fighter if he just let a meathead scrub like Downie fight his captain. I wouldn't have minded seeing Oveckin fight but Bradley did the right thin.

Good job on everyones part. AO gets points for manning up when he's the reigning league MVP, good job by Downie trying to get the former league MVP off the ice for 5 and tremendous job by Bradley not letting a decent middleweight fighter take on one of the greatest players in the game today. Everything you said after that lost all credibility to me because you clearly don't know what you're talking about. Junior isn't the level under pro in IIHF. You're allowed to have NHLers play and just because some American GM decides not to release Canada's players doesn't mean America has better juniors. I'm not saying all American GMs do this but why wouldn't Burke release Schenn? Schenn has beena healthy scratch this season and been playing terrible. They have the personnel to replace him but Burke wouldn't. Thats not Schenns fault.

Janik has been a perfect fill in for Lilja and with all the praise Babcock has been giving him I find it hard to believe he'll be the one sent down again. He's played solid defensively but outside of May he's the only one who looks willing to stand up for our guys which Babcock loves.

Reading my post I realized that lady byng thing came across more dickish then I meant, sorry about that. And I don't really rememeber what time but I think it was right after the 2 quick goals. Shelley came in a little to hard on Howard then he should've and he drew a crowd with Janik right in the middle. Hit him hard enough in my opinion for Cleary to make a statement by doing that.

Doc Holiday should take note that not every player on the team can win the Lady Byng. Howard got run earlier in the game by Shelley. Why not run one of the sharks better players that were going to the net into the post to send a message that our team won't be pushed around. At that point in the game the wings had it in the bag anyways.

No kidding. I've seen talk about Tane being arrogant and people wanting us Canadians to let usa enjoy their victory but thats not what this is about at all. This is about an American being stupid because he thinks Don Cherry is a baby all because he said our development system is better then the states. Guess what? It is. The fact that we have so many NHLers eligible for the tourny proves that. Now the way this thread has been going I'm expecting an American to call me arrogant or some other insult because they can't argue that they have a worst development system. Oh and by the way Don Cherry probably has more love for hockey in his pinky finger then all of America combined.

Some of our defenseman (excluding Janik) should take note. And its too bad Cleary had a bad shoulder he would have smashed Setoguchi. That newfy has shown he can handle himself against bigger guys like Pronger, and fighters like Newbury. Hoefully next time they meet Cleary will be healthy and fight for some redemption after that bad tilt.

That was Bettman not Canada and I'm pretty sure Bettman is from like New york or Jersey. And when was the last time you were in Canada? Where I'm from which is pretty damn close to Toronto, noone thinks the leafs are the greatest team ever. Have you picked up a Toronto newspaper after a leafs game? Nine times out of 10 it is ripping the team apart. Noone thinks Canadian teams are better because theyre CANADIAN you're just being ignorant to prove a point, noone even thinks Canadian teams are better. TSN covers Canadian teams because they're a Canadian channel. What would a person from Canada rather watch highlights from... A San Jose vs Dallas game or a battle of Alberta or Ontario? Oh and anyone who thinks any countries has a hockey development program even close to Canada's better check their facts.

Callahan had another fight with Josh Caron who is much larger then him. Mitch looked shaky at the start but turned it on at the end. I would probably give it a draw.

Why is it a bad thing? Cherry for the most part knows what he's talking about even if he does come across as a little high on his Canadian horse at times. And everyone calling him an ******* have you seen all he's done for the troops raising money and going over there and everything? Okay first off Hats off to the Americans win (Canada can't win them all) Secondly, how can anyone be pissed at Cherry for this? Really he stated something obvious, that Canada would have tore this tourny apart if Stamko, Tavares etc were playing Cherry isn't a sore loser, he's just sick o this hard on for American hockey all of a sudden just like you guys are sick of his for Canada. How many people from the states didn't play because they're in the NHL? (serious question) I see people on here snapping on the Canadians for being defensive but I haven't really seen anyone say much about how the real Canadian team like in 05 would have done against this American team. I'm glad the states won it if it wasn't Canada because they play similiar to our style but come on people the talent from Canada is twice that of the states and if you try to deny that you have your homer glasses on. It may seem like I'm biased to Canada but I dare anyone to try to argue that had Canada sent their full roster that the games against the states would have even been close
