Eaves and Cleary are very similar players actually. Both are versatile, can score, can hit, dont really back down in scrums and are solid PKers. I'm a pretty big Eaves fan and it pisses me off when Miller gets bumped up a line over Eaves.

Visors should always be the players choice. There are instances where visors cause injuries as well. I personally dont wear one because you can see a hell of a lot better without it but if someone in the NHL does I dont look down on them for it. (Unless they always are picking fights and leaving a visor on)

I am kinda with Mindfly on that one. Trading down outta the first isn't that great of an idea given their track record drafting North Americans early. The earlier they pick the better especially since they rarely pick high. I wouldn't have minded Carter Ashton at all

I woulda loved him here too. Hes by far the toughest player in the world juniors this year and a feared heavyweight fighter. He also has the highest ppg ratio in the OHL (or maybe all of the CHL?). 6'3 240 man Buffalo has a great prospect. They have Foligno too who is a pretty solid fighter and player in his own right. I wanted Detroit to get Foligno that year too. Oh well haha

If Z doesn't play I would rather them bring someone up from GR then dress 7 D. Might as well get some experience for these young guys and its always nice seeing how the prospects look with the big club

I wonder if theyll rush someone out from GR. Not sure about Emmertons injury status but would be nice to see him get a game. And yeah I would rather him then iFlip. Emmerton is a young gun who has more of a future then Flip and Flip would be useless in a 4th line role. Emmerton is solid defensively and could be a pretty good 4th or 3rd line guy for the wings in a few years. Hell maybe even Andderson with the way he's been playing lately could get the call to play in the bottom 6

Abby vs Ott round 2? I think so We'll see how Mursak can play physical tonight against a team like Dallas who are tough throughout the lineup. Hopefully he gets a bit more ice time tonight

No because in the top 6 he would get blown away on defensive coverage against other teams top lines. He needs to be babied on the PP and lower lines because he isn't good enough except offensively for anything else. When are you going to realize that your love for Hudler makes you look stupid and that noone takes you seriously at all on this site because of it

I never said they would trade Hudler to get Mursak time in the playoffs but if Hudler is playing like he is now I guarantee he's not in the lineup come playoffs and Mursak is. Kinda like Helm getting in before he was on the team full time

For an NHL debut Mursak looked solid out there. Babcock must like him since he was on the third line to start the game. His speed was definitely noticeable and he looked solid in the corners for a young guy. Overall good game for the young gun, 7 minutes played. I think this figure will go up eventually after he gets more accustomed to the speed and maybe even gets some PK time

I dont think youll have to worry about them being bad for much longer, theyre finally turning a corner here

Really? From what I've seen I think he could easily put up over 20 points playing in our bottom 6 this season. I think he should be able to at least put up 40 points in his career. Look at all the breakaways and chances Helm gets with his speed. Mursak will get those chances but he can bury as well.

What did he do that made him a s*** stain? Hes thrown a couple sucker punches which aren't really honourable but fighters should have known were coming. He plays physical and is an agitator. Was Ted Lindsay a s*** stain on the NHL? I dont blame people for hating him on the ice but not knowing him at all when people can't respect the fact that he basically came from alcoholic and depressed poverty while dealing with his brothers suicide at a critical time in his life and now is a millionaire playing in the NHL then these people need a serious reality check. You shouldn't let your love of a team and a game blind you of what some people go through in their lives, Tootoo has probably been through the most s*** in his life out of every single player in the league

Thats what I came in here to say. Being from Nunavut he came from a lot of alcohol problems which also leads to a lot of depression and suicide in that part of the country. My guess is alcohol. Also you guys can hate him all you want but coming from what he came from and becoming a millionaire while dealing with his brother terrance's suicide I can respect. But yeah I know this is LGW so if anyone ever touches a red wing it is automatic hate on and off the ice...

We picked up Miller last year, I dont know if "years" of chemistry is really the right term for their chemistry. Mursak has played probably almost just as much if not more with Abby then Miller has. Is this worrisome to you eva? If Hudler doesn't produce and Mursak does itll basically mean Hudler will be traded or he will be out of the lineup come playoffs for Mursak?

Hope mursak does well and Hudler is shown the door.

No but hes never not played in the WHL where fighting and agitating is a huge part of the game. International tourneys are a much different style then what they play in the dub so I hope he doesn't soften up on those Euros

Oh well that makes sense then. Its not the old days anymore where guys like Lucic would fight anyone. Someone who likes fights as much as you should be happy there is still a guy like Lucic who can fight and score some goals because the power forward is a dying breed

Cant wait to see how he looks on the big stage. Hopefully we see his agitating side all tournament and he doesnt try to be a finesse goal scorer.
