Well Holland wants to get tougher on the bottom lines. If he is replaced by someone better then why would you be pissed? For example if they sign Nystrom, huge upgrade over Miller.

Have you ever watched him play? He was a huge part of that 2006 finals team in Edmonton. Now that they suck he's maybe losing some desire, a change of scenery would be in order. The guy is a warrior, tough and can play. How can you say he wasn't effective defensively? I've watched him play and he looked good enough to me considering how bad that team is from top to bottom.

Agreed, Mursak just needs to develop his game a bt more. He will at least be on Flips level points wise when he gets to the NHL. He has wheels, some grit, and some dangles. Mursak will be getting 60 points in the NHL at least and Tatar could be upwards of 80.

Noone is really trashing him, just nobody is excited about him really. He's 28, never played in NA and doesn't provide anything the wings need. A guy like him is wasted on the 4th line, our third line is pretty much set and he wont be a top 6 here. At 28 your potential is pretty much tapped out.

Yeah I wouldn't think twice about picking Kabanov in the second round but a first round pick this high its toor isky to take a guy who might never even come over here, especially when he's a proven locker room cancer. Skill can only get you so far. It would be like when Avery got ran out of Detroit because he was a head case, Kabanov has headcase written all over him.

True. There isn't huge difference between an 18 year old and a 23 year old guy. Thats more then enough time for him to be a prick, burn his bridges and decide to go somewhere else. If we're takign a Russian I would take Tarasenko over this guy. (but I wouldn't go Russian in the first round at all)

Yeah all comments made leading up to the draft after the season was over and he was kicked off his team by his teammates. I was talking about Callahan when I said that Maltby thing. Abdelkader has way more offensive upside then that. Callahan will only make it on his pain in the ass style of play. Abby can score 10 goals next year fight 5-10 times (more if he wants) a year and I'll be happy with his development. Hopefully he has someone else tougher then him on this team so he doesn't have to handle all the physical stuff.

I wouldn't mind that trade. Ritola is looking like a skilled third liner at best and Boll is a guy who could step up on the third line if needed. Maybe we could get like a 5th out of that too.

Theres always gonna be those fights where they start in a scrum in front of the goalie and he won't have time to take it off but as long as he does when he is squaring up with guys then I'm fine with it. Clutterbuck is a POS.

Theres guy who have 1st line talent that might slip to us without having the risks Kabanov does. His teammates in Moncton basically kicked him off the team, then when the draft comes along he backtracks and says I shouldn't have acted that way so he wont hurt his draft status. Seems like a big act to me.

When he is full time next season I can see him ditching the visor since he did wear a really small one this year with the griffs and when he was called up. He's obviously not gonna take it off for playoffs this season when he played with it on all year but maybe this fall he'll leave it off knowing he'll be full time in the nhl. If he fights 10 times next year I really don't care how he does it, visor or not. I would rather it off but if he has one its better then nothing.

Boll would be a good influence on Abdelkader I think. Encourage him to play with an edge and be physical. Abby would be forced to back him up sometimes and they would be a good one two punch. Boll is an RFA though so I wouldnt get our opes up to much.

Good he knows his role then. Throw the other teams stars off their game, maybe get them t take a roughing penalty. Boll isn't like May or Downey. He's actually a solid player, can, skate and hit. Downey and May were pretty one dimensional. Boll is like a big agitator mixed with a light heavyweight weight fighter that will take on anyone. Boll Abby Eaves would be a sick 4th line. They would probably get in like 25 fights by themselves, maybe more depending on Eaves.

Yeah Abby is more of a compliment type fighter to someone who is tougher and less skilled. You don't want Abby doing all your fighting but he could be a good guy to fight every now and then.

Abby could end up like a Shanny type player. Not saying he'll be as good just that he would fight when he had to and was capable of doing it. Babcock wants him fighting so at least next season Abby will be fighting.

It sounded like how he talked about Abdelkader that they are very high on him. It also sounded like they are expecting him to be pretty mean too. He also said they are looking at free agents to fill a fighter type role which is good news to me Also said they will consider trading down depending on who is left when they pick. Callahan will be our Matt Cooke he says as well talking about Mitchell obviously. I meant that their team is not going to be anything close to what it was this year because of the retarded contracts they handed out. They very well may end up like Tampa Bay. Stamkos, Vinny, St Louis and Downie are all solid players but somehow they absolutely sucked last year. I don't think chicago will be quite as bad as Tampa but they very well might end up finishing in the 7-11 range in a season or 2
