When exactly did that happen? Cause I'm looking at Morrow's fight card right now and Lucic is nowhere to be found.

So hard to believe that was 10 years ago... Seriously doesn't seem that long ago. Time flies way too fast! I'll definitely never forget that incredible season. Literally an all-star team from top to bottom. Amazing memories.

A buddy of mine lives in SoCal and he heard on their local sports channel that the Ducks might be shopping Bobby Ryan. Not gonna get my hopes up by any means, but we do have the cap space, and thinking about Bobby Ryan on a line with Pavel makes me drool.

From what I've seen via NHL center ice, goaltending is the big issue here. With defense or lack thereof, being a big secondary problem. Still doesn't explain why they can cash in on PPs, but it's clear they are not a playoff team.

I know I'm probably in the minority here. But I really don't want to move to the East. The West has so much better competition, and so many big and small rivalries with us, which in turn means many more exciting great Red Wings games. I really hope we stay in the West, despite the time zone issue.

Looking good. However, I did always like the featured player addition. Stick with that new style, but I say bring back the player.

Almost brings a tear to my eye. He's been my idol since I was 4 years old back in 1988. What a legend. And for my money the greatest hockey player of all time. Could score with the best of them, yet was amazing defensively. The total package player. And he's somehow very modest. Still really miss the guy. I must admit I did shed tears during his retirement ceremony. I just hope one day he returns to the organization. I will always rock my red CCM Yzerman jersey during the playoffs. What a warrior. Not that it's a big deal. But it's always been sort of annoying to see so many ppl misspell this guy's name. I swear I see more "Federov"s than I do "Fedorov"s. And im not talking from random ppl. I'm talking about "Red Wings fans." The guy played here for 13 years and won 3 Stanley Cups and half of us can't even spell the guys name?? Come onnn maaaaaaannnn. lol Must be a bunch of noob Wings fans that started watching in 2008.

If the Devils aren't in a playoff position by the time the trade deadline comes along, I would say our chances of getting him are actually quite good. For the first time in many, many years we actually have a substantial amount of cap space. And he only signed a 1 year deal with the Devs. So if they're not in a playoff spot by then, it would almost be stupid for them not to unload him.

Hasek was HUGE that season and post season. IMO we still would've had a decent chance to win it. But Hasek stood on his head for the most part.

I'll never forget all the great memories, and everything he did for Red Wings hockey. Definitely gonna miss the guy. I'm only 26, but I start feeling old when all of my favorite players start dropping like flies to retirement.
