The good news is, we will most likely sign him in the offseason anyways. But still, it would've been great to have him this season. Especially with Osgood being hurt. I predict Nabby will get lit up nearly every game since the Islanders D is beyond atrocious. Then we'll get him for a decent price in the offseason.

Not sure if this is possible, but i would easily be okay with giving up Drew Miller to get Nabby. But only Miller. No way I would be comfortable giving up anything more than that. Although It prolly doesnt matter anyways cause I remember reading that whoever claims him can't just trade him right away for whatever reason..

Once again, Nabby will not play for a bottom-feeding team. He has the right to refuse any team and wait till the offseason. And from what I've heard, that's exactly what he'll do.

Doesn't matter, cause Nabby will not play for the Islanders. He will refuse to report to any horrible team (which the Islanders obviously are). My guess is he'll either be a Red Wing in 20 minutes, or he'll be a Red Wing in the offseason. Unless of course a cup contending team claims him. But if you look at all the cup contenders, they all have their starting goalie pretty much set. Except for Philly, but they're higher in the standings then we are right now.

Only about 40 more minutes left to wait... Please Hockey Gods, just let him become a Red Wing! I read something last night that said Nabby will refuse to report to a bottom-feeding team. If the Islanders do claim him, he will bow out and just wait till next season to play. And since it seems like he wants to be with the Red Wings, I would assume he'll just sign with us in the offseason as a free agent.

I was just about to say the same thing. Being someone who has had NHL center ice for 5 seasons now, I've heard basically every team's announcers, and without a shadow of doubt Boston has the most pathetically biased announcers in the league. And it's not even close. Especially during a fight. The other team's player could land 5 straight punches with the Boston player swinging but not landing one shot and he'll say the Boston player is pounding away. It's beyond ridiculous.
