How much production do you expect from Hudler?

Couldn't have possibly been the way you worded certain posts that day right? I must be the one who missed the point. You couldn't possibly have contributed to that right? Come on now. Sure there was a few Modano threads (and there still is). But you never made that the focus of your previous argument. The majority of your posts that day had more to do with poll bashing in general. Hence, your words, "polls are useless, especially with people you don't know who make no decisions for the Red Wings." Seriously don't wanna argue. I'm just giving you my perspective. If I missed the point, my bad bro. But like I said, just glad to see you changed your attitude on polls.

How much production do you expect from Hudler?

Nah not bitter at all. Just pointing out facts. Almost couldn't believe my eyes when I seen you were the poll starter. Your previous argument had nothing to do with multiple similar topics. You simply stated something along the lines of, "polls being useless, especially polls with people you don't know who make no decisions for our team." I can go back and direct quote you if you'd like. Like I said, glad to see you obviously changed your tune on polls. Good poll too. Hudler will be an interesting piece to the puzzle this upcoming season.

Man thought you were so against polls. What ever are you doing!? I thought polls were meaningless and even more so meaningless conducted with a bunch of people you don't know who make no decisions for the Red Wings. Wow bro, talk about complete and utter hypocrisy. Although I'm glad to see you realized how wrong you were. As for the poll. I see Huds getting around 50 points. I voted 40-50. But I could see him getting 50-60 as well.

    The Bottom Six and Modano

And rightfully so, in my eyes.

    The Bottom Six and Modano

Going by that list. We should go with, Helm, Abby, Miller, Eaves, Draper, and Modano. Older Filpula has to prove himself at this level, and Maltby is just plain done IMO. Ritola can be some insurance in case of injuries. Doesn't seam like a major log jam to me really.

Red Wings Making Play for Modano

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet. But while he was at today's Tigers game at Comerica Park, Modano said the only team he'll play for is the Red Wings. He's either going to retire, or play for us. Sounds like it's probably gonna happen. Should be a great 3rd line center for us.

Holland thinks he is close to signing Eaves, Miller, and Meech

I can see wanting to re-sign Miller, Eaves, Abby and Helm. But why in God's name would Holland want worthless Meech back?? He's a complete scrub. I just can't see an upside to spending a single dollar on him.

Bob Probert passes away at 45

Man did Probie ever deserve the reception he got during Yzerman's retirement ceremony in '07. Around the 2:20 min mark. Obviously no one had a bigger reception than Vladdy and Stevie. But Probie deserved every cheer and then some! We'll never forget Bob Probert.

Bob Probert passes away at 45

Well we all know which team he played for the longest. And he also had his greatest seasons here too.

Bob Probert passes away at 45

I just noticed the top of LGWs. Great job! He truly will always be the champ!

Bob Probert passes away at 45

I wonder if he had heat stroke or something. I mean there is a crazy heat wave going on right now...

Bob Probert passes away at 45

Also sorta weirds me out cause I was just on lake St. Clair 2 weekends ago. Man this SUCKS.

Bob Probert passes away at 45

Devastating news... Although I still haven't found a website to actually say he has passed away. But I guess when you have no vital signs that usually means you're a goner.... R.I.P. Bob Probert - Toughest player in NHL history. I will always cherish all those awesome memories from the 90's. Sad sad day...

    Zetter is better.

    Oilers waive Souray

He's excellent on the PP, he's a big physical guy who will also drop the gloves when necessary (usually successful when he does drop em) and he brings that big shot you're referring to. At 2.7 mill he's an absolute steal. My only hesitation would be his recent injuries. But really, we could say that about alot of players (including current Red Wings). Still don't think it's gonna happen here in Detroit. But some team out there will certainly take him at half price.

TSN: Discussion of Modano To Wings

Seeing how Modano already won the Cup, I doubt we would be on a "Dallas Drake" type of mission. That being said, it seams like Mike has some hockey left in the tank. If he'll sign for a reasonable amount, I am all for him finishing his career at home.

    Boogard and Pavel

I don't care how tough Boogy is. No way he should be making over a million per season. Especially in this salary cap era. Seriously unbelievable.

    Oilers waive Souray

I know Souray has been a little banged up lately. But at half the salary, I would love the Wings to pick him up. I know it's not gonna happen. But some team out there is gonna get a nice score through re-entry waivers. As long as he can stay healthy Souray brings a hell of alot to the table.

    Freep interview with Yzerman

One day Steve Yzerman will be a Red Wing again. And I for one, can't wait for that day! Yzerman is God.

    Det possibly interested in Nabby?

Unless Nabby is willing to take league min and serve as Jimmy's backup. Detroit is probably not a viable destination for him.

    Kirk Maltby

Never met Malts. But I did meet Datsyuk in '05. And met Hank in '06 (both at the same sports shop in Fenton). Funny thing is, I still have both pictures on my end table next to my bed. I don't even have a picture of me and the gf next to my bed. Needless to say she's definitely called me out on that several times. Maybe if she plays for the Red Wings she can earn a picture next to me. Until then, it's Pav and Hank's end table.

    Turco reportedly rejects Flyers offer

Can't believe Turco turned that offer down. He's been declining for a few years now. Philly was just in the finals. And one of their weaknesses was goaltending (it was the number 1 weakness for them in the finals). If Turco thinks he's getting much more than 2 mil per year at this stage of his career, he's mistaken. Maybe 3 mil at best. Any more than that for an aging and declining goaltender would be way too much. As for Nabby, looks like the ole negotiations aren't going so smoothly.

    Lilja May Test Market

This is good news actually. I mean don't get me wrong, Lilja is better than Lebda and Meech. But that's really not saying much. As we all know Lilja is extremely slow. His passing ability is lacking, he obviously has no shot at the point. Not that he's that type of d-man or anything, but still, the fact remains that we could fill his spot with a defenseman that brings alot more to the table than Lilja does. He doesn't even use the one thing he has going for him, which is his size. So for me, I'm glad he's testing the market. The only problem is, I don't see any team out there giving him any sort of pay raise. Personally, I just want him out of Detroit. Along with Lebda and Meech of course.

Savard to waive no trade clause

Stuart is a good defenseman and all. But there is no way we could get Savard and Coburn for just Stuart. Even if it is a 3 team deal. Maybe Kronwall, but definitely not Stuart. And since there's no way I would want to give up Nick jr, I just don't see this scenario going down.

Savard to waive no trade clause

Savard's cap hit is only about 4 mill. That's an absolute STEAL for the calibre of player he is.
