Yeah, it's almost a compliment really. We have such an amazing franchise and organization and it invoked enough hatred and jealousy for someone to actually take the time to hack the site. Which really wasn't a very good hack job considering it was only down for like a day and a half. Jealous amateurs. lol

Pretty sure it was a way of making fun of the Red Wings name. Red Wings = Black Chicken. Clearly whoever hacked the site was a fan from another NHL team. Most likely a rival team.

My little sister who has basically no interest in hockey or the Red Wings is going to the game tonight. Needless to say I'm quite the jealous older brother right about now. I've only seen our boys twice this year. Which is way below my usual season average. Luckily there is still plenty of time left to get some tickets. The non-interference calls on team Canada were ******* ridiculous. They got away with it every time. Disgraceful.

Couldn't be prouder of these guys. Youngest team in the tourney. No current NHL linemates. A team that many in the media didn't expect to medal. And it took Canada an OT to beat us. ******* so proud. Can't wait to see our boys take gold in 2014!

^^ Exactly. Refreshing to see a poster with an actual brain in his head. And that's if it were really just 1/9th. Guaranteed the ratio is about the same as Canadian girls. So there isn't just a few more attractive girls in America, there is WAY more attractive girls here in America. Hell, my graduating class alone had hundreds of smoking hot girls.

Ummm...you may wanna read the entire thread before posting. It was actually a Canadian poster that started all of this. And no, we do not fund our athletes more. If you had read earlier posts, you would see that Canada actually spent twice the amount the United States has supporting our olympic athletes. It's getting really old when Canadian posters start the trouble, then American posters defend ourselves and our country, then other Canadian posters come on and act like we're the big bad bullies. Try looking at your fellow countrymen. Or better yet, call them out when you see that sort of behavior. Maybe they will tone it down if they're called out by fellow Canadians. Cause this has been a constant thing basically since the olympics started. And like I said, it's getting really old.

Settling for 2nd and 3rd?? We have the second most golds in the olympics. The point is, not only can we win several golds. We can also say we have one of the bests in the world at MANY more events than Canada. Most gold, silver and bronze winners are separated by fractions, which means on any given day who knows what might happen. The United States has the most consistent, dominate athletes, in the most events, of all other countries in the world. Hence the fact that we're destroying Canada in medals. And right now half of our country is in 70+ degree weather. And we're even more dominant in the summer olympics. Can't wait to here the crickets chirping in Canada when they don't achieve even 1 single gold medal. Americans are dominant in the winter and summer. So yeah I hope you don't hurt your back while your bowing to the most dominant country in the world.

Dude, the United States has 11 more total medals than Canada has. Not one, or two, or three, ******* 11! Gee what would I rather have 3 more golds or 11 more total Olympic Medals??? Yeah I'll take the most medals. We've destroyed you guys in consistency with winning Olympic Medals. And half of our country has basically no winter. How was that reality check for ya? Oh and also, watch us once again dominate the medal count in the summer olympics too. Wonder if Canada will even get 1 single medal?

Not that I think the refs will be biased or anything. But that does seam a little insane to have almost all of the refs be Canadian, when Canada is one of the countries involved. I'm fairly certain that if it were announced that all the refs for the game will be American, Canadian fans would be go crazy.

Paul Stastny was only in Quebec for a short period of time, then moved to New Jersey, then St. Louis, and went to junior high and high school in Nebraska. Once again, Tyler Myers was born and raised in Texas for 10 frickin years before he moved to Canada. Not the same situation at all.

Oh my bad. I thought they moved back to Chicago for a lot longer than that. But still, Hull's entire family is American. All of them being American born. Just so happens Brett's parents were in Ontario when his mother went into Labor. And then lived during Bobby's tenure with the Jets. No way Hull can be viewed as a traitor. Now Myers on the other hand. Definitely a traitor. Although, it makes sense that he wanted the best development possible for his future NHL career. But still, sorta sucks that we can't use him even though he was born and raised here for 10 years before he moved to Canada.

Very good signing for the Flames (unfortunately). Bourque is a gritty, all around talented young player. Would love to have that guy in the winged wheel. But obviously that's not happening for at least 6 years. lol

Myers is a traitor! At least with Hull, he was born in Canada but immediately raised in the U.S. In Myers case, he was born and raised in Texas and didn't move out to Canada until he was 10 years old! Damn you Myers! We need every young talented American defenseman we can get! TRAITOR!

Exactly. He has the nerve to talk about our game against the Swiss, when Canada couldn't even beat the Swiss in REGULATION! Took a ******* shootout for them to win. And yes, who won head-to-head?? Oh that's right, the STARS AND STRIPES won. I thought so.
