Very respectable first period for the Red Wings. We definitely had more scoring chances than the caps. If we continue to press em hard, we just might get those all important 2 points.

He may be a little on the rude side. But he IS correct about WWII. In fact, he may have been a little too nice about his hockey metaphor of Canada being like a "3rd line role player" in comparison to the United States. Canada was more like a 4th line winger, or a 7th defenseman. I've been a WWII enthusiast for over a decade now. And I am well aware of Canada's involvement. And trust me, if Canada had decided to not participate, the outcome would have been the exact same. Not trying to brag or boast about the United States in the slightest, I'm just stating documented facts.

Oh noooo. I didn't know Ozzie was getting the start... I'm going to do my best to stay positive, but the caps are the highest scoring team in the league. I was already nervous when I thought Howard would be starting. Now that it's Ozzie, I am not the slightest bit confident. It seams that Osgood would have at least some rust. I have a bad feeling about tonight's game. Man let's I hope I'm wrong. Hope we light their asses up!

Being realistic, I will be shocked if we beat the Caps in their building. Howard is going to have to stand on his head. Otherwise, it's not going to be a good day for us Wings fans...

This would be fantastic! It would take me about 15-20 minutes to see the Wings play, as opposed to an hour and 20 minutes. I would most definitely buy a 9 or 19 game package if this goes down.

Plenty of season left considering only 5 points seperates 4-9 seeds. Also, if you're so confident in the Hawks, where the hell were you the entire game??? You come on after the game is officially over??? WEAK. Must have been pretty scared throughout the game eh? Yeah you better only show up after it's over. We're missing our leading goal scorer (Homer) and our 40 goal scorer (Franzen). Also, our second best defenseman. So yeah pretty sure things aren't even in the injury department. But yeah good to see there are some classy Hawks fans.
