Easy tiger. I've been wrong about hockey related things in the past. This is just one instance where I knew we made the wrong move the day it happened. Hell, I was all about the Robert Lang trade, if that tells you anything about my prediction success rate.

Yes, but remember how much playoff time he got that season before we let him go? He looked so good that post season for us. Personally, even back then I thought Quincey was better than Lebda. But yeah Quincey got a lot better since then.

It still erks me that we let Quincey go while holding onto worthless Lebda...

I must respectfully disagree. Like you said, the goalie options out there are nothing special. And in terms of goal scoring, Franzen, Holmstrom and Williams will be huge helps. Homer was our leading goal scorer for Christ sake. And Franzen is a goal scoring machine. The offense will surely rise getting a 40 goal scorer back. And he's already proved in the past that he can come right off the IR and immediately produce. The reason we keep getting lit up is our horrible defensive coverage. This game right here is a perfect example. We're generating chances, scored 2 goals, but we can't stop them from scoring. Lidstrom is definitely starting to decline a bit this season, Rafalski is far from impressive in terms of consistency. Stuart has looked horrible defensively so far this season, and Kronwall is about as injury prone as they come. And again, Lebda and Meech are atrocious. IMO adding just one good defenseman might make all the difference come playoff time.

IMO Holland needs to go after a solid defenseman at the trade deadline. Lebda and Meech are beyond worthless.

The Red Wings got completely screwed. The rule states that there must be 100% DEFINITIVE EVIDENCE to overturn the original call on the ice. Not ONE replay showed that puck was CLEARLY over the line. And the ref's call was NO GOAL. The NHL is a ******* joke. Utterly disgraceful.
