Vancouver aquire Ehrhoff and Lukowich From SJ
TheDetroitRedWings replied to rick zombo's topic in General
San Jose is positioning themselves to afford Dany Heatley. If and when that happens, the Sharks will be scary. -
I want Cheli to keep playing. But come on, the Preds?? Jesus there are 27 teams in the league outside our division. Why does every former Red Wing have to stay in the central?? I was more worried about Cheli going back to Chicago. But still, get the hell out of the central please.

Just got home from work and I have tomorrow off. So I will be heading to the liquor store in about an hour. I'm gonna get my usual, which is a 6 pack and a pint of jager. The 6 pack will probably be miller lite, but sometimes I just go with random beers i've never had before. So that could go either way. Should be a good night.

Normally I would be pretty pissed off after hearing of yet another NHLer moving to the KHL. But in this case, I actually hope it happens. McCarty is obviously not good enough anymore to play in the NHL. So I think he should definitely go to the KHL. That way he can still make a living playing hockey. I wish D-Mac the best. Hope he plays somewhere.

Sweetness. You should post the pics! The last Red Wing I met was Datsyuk back in '04. But I had to wait in line for over 2 hours. Definitely worth it though.

What college did you play for? And what years? Just curious.
-
I played all throughout high school ('98-'02) and won 2 Big 9 titles in that 4 year span. But unfortunately I haven't played organized hockey since my senior year of high school. I would love to play still but with school and work I have barely enough time to sleep let alone play organized hockey. But If I ever win the lotto I will go back to doing nothing but playing and watching hockey all day every day. Ahhh how great life would be...

Says the guy who took the side of Shoreline a month back when this exact topic was argued. Wow sure changed your tune on that one eh Drakey boy?

Which of the following UFC/MMA "dream fights" would you like
TheDetroitRedWings replied to BeeRYCE's topic in Other Sports
I've never seen anything that said they refuse to fight each other. That would make no sense. Not like they're related. In fact, Machida isn't even a brazilian by blood like Silva is. But if they did say that, hopefully they change their mind. -

I agree with the thread starter. Machida Vs Silva would be EPIC. Brock and Fedor would be awesome as well, but light heavyweights are so much more exciting to watch. Two huge guys like Brock and Fedor would just not be as exciting in my eyes. Both would be amazing fights. But Machida/Silva would be the fight of the century. -
Wow, very very sad....

We lost 88 goals and get back 76 goals - Good Job Kenny!
TheDetroitRedWings replied to Snazzy's topic in General
I like big Bert and all, but no way he is better than Huds. I do like what Kenny is doing. The fact that we spent the same amount of money for 3 players (Williams, Eaves, Bertuzzi) that we WOULD have spent on just one player (Hudler) makes me happy. But if we take the money out of the discussion, Hudler is not only better right now, but he has the potential to be much much better than Bert. Bertuzzi is still a solid player, but he has already reached his potential and is on the decline. So in closing... Bertuzzi < Hudler -
Great post man. 100% agreed.

Uh...what?

Homer is no longer 1st line material. In fact, he's not even second line material in my book. I've loved Homer for years, and I still do, but at this point Homer should be a 3rd/4th liner. Either that or it may be time for him to hang em' up. He looked pretty good at the start of the season, but ever since he came off the DL he's looked Maltby-bad.
-
I'm happy with this signing as well, but Bertuzzi is FAR from an enforcer.
-
What, the guy doesn't have the right to make a living still?? Yeah he went back and fourth. But who cares? It's his life, and his career. You're clearly just a disgruntled Packer fan. Green Bay should have just let him free in the first place. Rather than force him to one of two places, either jets or bucs. So if anyone started a "beef" it was the Packers organization. Saying you lost all respect for Favre is laughable. Yeah he changes his mind a lot. But he's still talented when healthy and deserves a chance to play again. I can't wait to see Favre jumping up and down with joy after a touchdown scored at Lambeau, all while wearing purple. I love it. As for the division. Minnesota will win the central. Bears and Packers will fight it out for second place.

Hudler was set to get 3.5 mil this season. But now instead of that, we essentially have 3 players for 1. Hudler was good and all, but now we have Williams, Eaves and Bertuzzi for the same price as Hudler by himself. I love what Holland is doing.

dog killer.... i mean vick signs with eagles
TheDetroitRedWings replied to Duck Guy's topic in Other Sports
I love dogs. I have two of my own. But there's been NFL players that have been involved in HUMAN death. And they all got to play again(with the exception of Ray Carruth, who went to prison for life). So if the NFL let's those players play again, they have to let Vick play. Dog killing is a horrible offense. But the man paid his debt to society and deserves a second chance. So I'm glad the eagles signed him. If he still has that speed, he's going to be fun to watch again.
