Hudler+Ericsson to a team that needs to reach cap floor for a defenseman, than we pick up Ian White. Thats the best situation possible I could see happening.

I still fail to see how this is a good signing. There might not be any good free agents this year to spend money on, but what about the next 3 years? Im sure we would love to have the cap space we blew on Ericsson back, and you say its not hurting us...

I think Xavier Ouellet is a much much better player than most give him credit for. I think he could be a future PP guy that can also be trusted in his own end.
