Wow, I need me a Mikey Mo jersey!
-
I thought he was rehabbing and skating with Jokerit.
-
Looks like Jarnkrok made it off the bottom line too, thats good.
-
My uncle played a bit with Modano, so I told my aunt who is a huge Wings fan about this and she pretty much flipped out. It was classic

I would really hate to have Ericsson or Kindl be rotting away in the press box. We need to give those 2 a chance to work the bottom pairing, and if that doesn't work than Janik or Meech can step up although I wouldn't be that bothered if Mitchell signed.
-
If we are pursuing Willie Mitchell and are in fact one of the 4 teams he is willing to go to we need all the cap space we can get.
-
Most likely both. If we move just one we will be carrying 14 forwards.
-
Im putting my money on #39.
-
Reports also say we are pursuing Willie Mitchell. He had 12 teams pursuing him and he has singled those 12 down to 4. Detroit, Vancouver, Washington, and Nashville are said to be those 4. Lets hope it happens, big upgrade over Lilja.

Yes, it will also be an hour and feature many awesome ESPN hockey annalists throwing their worthless opinions around discussing where he will go. People will also be tricked in to thinking the signing will be announced at the beginning of the show just to get people to sit there and watch it for the rest of the hour until it is really announced.

Meech isnt a bad defender. He did well when everyone was out with injuries, he isnt the most physical but skill wise does just fine on the bottom pairing. The only reason Meech should be traded is if we sign another defender, or Janik beats Meech for the 6th-7th spot. Miller and Ritola will most likely be gone if Modano signs, and if he doesn't Miller will probably be the only guy. If we signed Asham and Modano we would need to trade another forward, and that isnt happening. Kenny said if Mo doesnt sign he will not be perusing any more forwards, although Dowey might earn a contract he would spend most his time in Grand Rapids.

Almost decision time Come on Mike, you know you want to finish it up at home.
-
You can take Sutton off the list, the deal hasnt been done yet but he will be Ducks property.
-
Homer isn't king ****** either, he stands in front of the goalie and does his job. On the other hand Perry is king ******.
-
Dude, Exelby cant play hockey. Ericsson-Kindl would be much better offensively and Defensively than Ericsson-Exelby or Kindl-Exelby. You dont want him on the Wings. Even if he does have an occasional hit or rare fight, who cares. At the end of the day its our defensemans offensive and defensive capabilities that will win us the game, not their hitting or fighting.

NHLSourcesSay Hope this isnt bs!
-
Its official, Turco will be signed by Tuesday.
-
Yup, Perry is a confirmed ******.
-
I watched way to many Griffins games last year, I guess I shouldn't expect him to be nearly as productive in the NHL.
-
Well I think its pretty reasonable to believe they would rather get rid of one of those 3 than lose all their depth, but I guess Stan isn't the smartest guy.
-
Janik has shown he can be a very solid bottom pairing guy who will drop the gloves, and he has much more offensive capabilities than Lilja. I would love to have Janik or Sutton.
-
Off the ice, yes.

Intersting article from mlive. I don't know what to make of this report, so I asked Paul Kukla of Kukla's Korner to check around, and he stated that ESPN's EJ Hradek refuted the rumor, insisting that a) Yes, Modano's on vacation in Europe, but b) He won't make his decision until after he returns to the U.S. and begins skating again--and Modano's not going to take to the ice until August 5th. In any case, it bears noting that NHL.com will posit its Red Wings off-season report on August 12th, and by that time the Wings may very well not only have a decision from Modano, but also have re-signed Justin Abdelkader, Darren Helm, and a presumptive #6 defenseman.
