Kabanov can not play in the KHL for the next 2 years, and he has said he will never go back to play in Russia. I will just copy and paste all my other stuff from other threads. HF Boards Thread After reading the last 3ish pages of this thread I dont dislike Kabanov as much. Here is a quoted post from someone on that site. After reading the statements he made at the combine and such it seems like he wants to get everything back on track and is pretty dedicated to playing in the NHL someday. It all seemed pretty sincere anyways. Kabanov has top 3 talent in this draft. If he is as dedicated to making the NHL and fixing his mistakes as he claims he is the odds are pretty good he could be the best player coming out of this years draft. Not taking the risk on Kabanov would be the mistake.

Look at Eklunds Twitter. He is trying to argue that he was just gossiping about what is possible, and that gossip and rumors are the exact same thing. Silly Eklund...

Chat with Red Wings assistant GM Jim Nill at 2 p.m

Smith is underage. There is no tolerance for drinking underage. He could have blew a .01 and still have been charged with a DUI. The kid might not have been drunk, or even buzzed. We dont know the details, we dont need to worry about it. Also, we cant forget about this. -

Really, Smith is not doing anything out of the ordinary for a college kid. This stuff happens all the time. People are overreacting. If it doesnt get in the way of hockey let the kid be. -
Honestly, this has to be one of the stupidest arguments ever. So if you put Datsyuk on the 3rd line do you think his point production would increase just because he is matched up against worse players? I feel pretty safe saying it would drop. More ice time + more skilled linemates = more points.

If you want to watch basketball please watch anything but the NBA.

Poor Hawks. They are off way worse than I originally thought.

I am hoping Meech gets traded as that is being speculated. Kindl should start the season as out #6 guy. If he falters after a good chunk of games insert Janik in to the lineup. Heck, we can have a friendly competition between Janik, Kindl, and Ericsson for the bottom 2 spots. Just some wishful thinking, but our defense is set for next year.

I found our gritty 6th defenseman.

On a more positive note we will be rocking Chicagos s*** all next year. They wont win another cup for a long time.

We needed scoring and if anything he was expected replace some of the offense we lost the previous off season. I'm not real shocked he did not do crap here either, and im delighted he is gone. As for the right handed shot on the PP, it does not make that much of a difference. It certainty did not work for J Willy.

Expensive, but yes pretty delicious.

I understand what you are feeling, it is a new concept for me too. Just hang in there you can go back to hating them soon.

We can see it did not work out now, but he was excellent with the Jackets the previous year. There was no clear indicators he would suck as bad as he did with us. If J Willy kept his play at the level it was at with the Jackets it would have been a great signing, but he blew it. 1000th post, js.

Everyone knows the curses of Joel Quenneville and Marian Hossa can not be broken. Chicago wont win, pfffffft.

Kabanov does not have injury problems. He had a fluke injury that was his wrist and he is fully recovered. Also, the kid is 17. If he can play that well at 176 imagine how he does when he fills out. Its not exactly a bad thing when players do well when they still have not filled out or are still not very strong. It means there is generally more upside than guys that are already filled out. When drafting players weight should not be considered too much of an issue.

Please, no.

I was really loving the Lightning, but if Guy Boucher got the job he ruins it for me.

I saw a nice flash of the old Ville last night. He over skated the puck, fumbled around for a second, and than got knocked right on his ass. I didn't know it was him at the time but when I figured it out I just had to laugh...

Some guys just dont mess around, Tatar seems like one of them. When he is hot you really cant stop the kid. Some day he will be a real force in the NHL.

The Flyers and Hawks think otherwise. You know, the real hockey experts.

Im not sure if you can read peoples minds or what, because im pretty curious on how you seem to know what Holland wants and does not want. If he does want anything it is a gritty bottom 6 player, as he has already stated. Please enlighten me, how is Eager not a gritty bottom 6 guy?
