If some of the world best athletes bodies can not recover over the Olympic break, or the time they get off in the summer there is something wrong. These guys shouldn't need more than a week or two. It is the biggest bs excuse I have ever heard. If anything they might be a little more tired than normal due to their tight schedule they are forced to have because of the olympics. Still, this should affect the other teams just as much as it affects them.

Who knows if he meant to hurt Crosby, or if Crosby was actually hurt. Due to the variables this is a lot harder to judge than the Ovechkin incident from earlier today. With that said, either way it is still pretty dirty. Now getting a little sidetracked, have you guys ever wondered if Crosby isnt really a faker and diver? Maybe he just has a very very low pain tolerance, much like a real baby.

Im pretty sure the explanation for not suspending Cooke was it is to similar to the Richards hit. Sure the hit was legal, but they can still suspend him if they want. Cookes hit is a big reason the new rule was set in, so the refs can punish the players on the spot.

There is no question Ovechkin is probably the best player in the league right now, but he does some pretty stupid stuff. I guess every player has their flaws.

Show me the part where I said I dont like hitting, I cant seem to find it. Bottom line, that was a careless dirty play by Ovechkin. There is no point in trying to defend him.

Well what do you expect to happen? 2 players going full speed racing to the puck. A couple feet from the boards one shoves the other in to the boards. Is Campbell going to get hurt? No s***, I think Ovechkin was well aware of what he was doing.

Everyone says it isnt that bad of a hit, and it is an overreaction. Ovechkin deserved to get kicked out 100%. That hit is as dirty as they come. There was simply no overreaction on that call, Ovechkin got what he deserved. Now the NHL needs to grow the balls to suspend other stars when the need to be.

Crosby was brought up because your views are obviously very bias. You stick up for Crosby all the time, why cant he do the same for Ovechkin? Realistically, someone that hits a lot is not much worse than someone who dives a lot.

I completely agree. Besides his goal he did not do very well last night. He took a penalty, and had 2 or 3 dangerous turnovers. His dangles didnt do all that well either. The man has been on fire lately, perhaps he decided to take the night off.
