Kovalchuk is not going to resign with Atlanta. Im not sure on where he is going, but he sure as hell is not staying. Im just going to state the obvious, it isnt going to be Chicago either.

Ritola has looked really good out there, but for now I am going to say Janik. He has not done really well, or really bad. He has just been a solid defenseman.

We are 1st in road attendance right now, s***tsburgh is at a very close 2nd.

These past 2 games are what I would call the definition of a solid team effort. Everyone came and played a full 60 mins of hockey. Damn good wins against some good teams.

Even if this were the case, it shouldn't make a difference. The other teams should be playing their best if we have missing players or not, so what does it matter?

I agree this was just a bad all around situation. Although if you watch the video Kopitar skated straight to the puck from his zone, with Phaneuf coming right over to him initiating contact. If Kopitar wanted to stay away from Phaneuf and move towards the boards he would have easily been shut down. It was pretty much a hopeless situation.

I think you are missing the point here. How is Kopitar supposed to protect himself? Seriously, he cant just give up on the puck because he is next to Phaneuf. Kopitar did nothing wrong, Phaneuf is just a piece of s***.

Even if Lebda gave 150% effort, he still wouldn't cut it. For sure. Every damn team in the NHL is out to get us every time we play, every team brings their A game. Its garbage, but that is what happens when you are so good for so long.
