I noticed the same thing, although his goal was actually against the Oil. If Helm keeps taking as many shots as he is he will get better eventually.

I was screaming at the tv after I watched Helm, and Kronner get injured. Than I figured out Laraque did both. I hope he sits out some games, than May can find him in a dark alley and break his jaw.

This. Stuart is the perfect fit for E. He is a good defensive dman with a great all around skill set. Janik has plenty of experience to ensure the 3rd pairing wont be worthless too.

We already tried this. Did nothing. We can not afford to scratch one of our top 6 forwards right now either. Leino has very poor work ethic, he could be a lot better than he is.

He might not have the best puck handling, but he can still hold on to it for a long time. Remember his penalty kill? No puck handling skills used, yet he held on to it for 24 seconds. That penalty kill was all skating ability, and lets not forget to mention he is absolutely amazing at the art of lifting the stick every single game.

I completely agree here. I know Lids can make almost anyone he is paired with look good (well, anyone but Raffi), but Ericsson was the guy who looked like the Norris Trophy winner when they were together. E can rock on the PK, the PP, and has one rocket of a shot. Lebda is doing nothing but slowing the developing of a future top 6 defenseman.

Out of all of the rookies Leino will prob end up being the better player. Helm was on fire last night, havent seen him rock like that since the playoffs. I am satisfied with Ericsson, by the end of the season im sure you all will be too. Out of all the free agents Eaves has impressed me the most. He was invisible in the pre-season, and the first few games. Now he is becoming the player we know he can be. Thats what I think in one paragraph.

Than what is this thread about? You obviously dont like him, thats a given. What are you trying to accomplish? If you want to complain because you are mad and have your panties in a bunch go to the GDT. And on the topic of who struck whos nerve...

Thats all Malts says every game. There is a 75% chance you will see him drop an f-bomb when he is playing.

I think Bert is doing a great job for what we have him for. He always gets forced to the boards by the defenseman and has to attempt to make the pass. It happens quite a few times a game, it is like he is afraid to slow down and wait for everyone else, or go through the middle and get a quick shot off. One thing is for sure, Bert can not play when he is under pressure.

The "intent to blow" rule does not even apply here. The refs blew the whistle because the play was dead, and they lost sight of the puck. THATS BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE GOD DAMN NET! That was total BS, I have never said anything like this before, but if the refs ever conspire against the Wings this is it right here. Total damn BS.

It might not look like they are punching as hard as they really are, but watching how fast that helmet flew off gives you an idea.
